Not suggesting anyone mess with the snakes Ray ... rather that they take the right gear with them.

Word out there after recce is that there is a lot more loose gravel on the stages. Road position will be very important.
Ray
Testing showed a lot of dust ... will be a real problem on the first pass.
Ostberg: 'Quite technical stages at recce today, and difficult with the dust...' https://t.co/nCw4lyHNnG
Very rough stages out there this year, they'll be going through some tires I say! Good luck to DMACK.

Basically nothing between the top 5 on that list other than what will happen with road order.
Nice to see there are some actual rally photographers out there.
How many shots of kangaroos and surfers do you need before people click we're in Australia?

Ogier was first into the stage and had a taste of things to come when he opens the roads for the first two legs on Friday and Saturday. The loose gravel was deep and the Frenchman’s quickest time was more than 11sec faster than his opening effort on unused roads.
“It’s such an incredible cleaning effect we have seen this morning,” he said. “By our calculations it is between 0.2sec - 0.3sec per car per kilometre faster. It’s always difficult here but during the recce a lot of people said it was even worse than previous years. I didn’t expect so much.”
Even Monday night’s massive rainstorm in the host town of Coffs Harbour offered no respite for the early starters.
“When we started the recce on Tuesday morning I never saw any marks of humidity anywhere. It is completely dry and dusty,” Ogier added.

Weather:
So, Like you see from photos, rain is not very likely ;)
Morning today will be a bit cool and almost calm. But luckily first 2 stages are in relatively open landscape, maybe only a few hundred meters at the end of SS1 is in the shade. and short sections on the second stage. Wind should be OK for third stage already :) Temperature in the morning nice, around 20..23 degrees and by noon it will be 26.. 28 degrees. However, road is not so abrasive as in Mediterranean rallies, should be better for DMack.. and rally is faster. and some later stages are completely under the forrest, so, road is not so hot.

VW orders their drivers to go for the win https://www.autosport.com/news/repor...out-with-a-win
Asked if he thought his DMACK tyres would cope with the heat, hard surface and long stages, he replied: "They're as black and as round as the others. Why not?"
lol, typical Tänak

Dmacks were ok in Poland, very hot was there
I believe they are all taken by @world, the ones you criticize constantly. Funny how quickly things change in "god"-world... one day vw s not going anywhere, the next day they are... one day a photographer is the burnt bottom of the failed dish in the saucepan, the next day, same photographer is an "actual rally photographer".
Can't be easy to speak in absolutes all the time when you are wrong so often.
