Yes! Nice find, I spent hours driving that stage at the weekend and they've got it spot on in so many places...although I think it's a bit narrower in the game :D

Been playing it all evening, so much fun. They've said that the AI is a bit slow until they get a gauge on how quick people are, and given that I can win events on Very Hard I'm guessing that there will be big changes to come. Still great fun getting in a dice though.
Unfortunately this game is going to cost me more than £25...in fact it's going to cost me a lot more. I'm soon moving company to a place with a much stricter IT policy, which means I loose my laptop and anything even close to being capable of running it. So in the interests of giving the game a fair chance I'm going to have to get proper PC. Unfortunately I know nothing, anyone got advice on what's a half decent spec to look for? (or more importantly, what to avoid). I'm a casual game but would like to be able to run DiRT to a pretty high standard. I'm not averse to going for a 'custom' option, but definitely won't be up to building it myself.
Just gave it a go and it crashed after long loading times.... Could be down to me having a very basic laptop! Back to hooning around in the quattro and the M3 by myself, still worth the money though
I've been waiting for World RX to be released before buying but now I'm thinking again in case my PC can't run it very well... :(
An internet site says I only have the minimum spec and I cant afford to change my PC..
Well the good side is that you won't have to buy the game again as you can just reload your Steam profile on the new pc.
A site I always use for checking out specs for specific games and which can guide you as to what the pc you find can do is www.game-debate.com. The Dirt Rally page is http://www.game-debate.com/games/ind...e=Dirt%20Rally
Just put in your specs and it will tell you whether that spec is useful or not. Will help a lot with picking the right pc. The problem is these new pc components are so complicated to try and understand that it's hard to pick the right thing but this site does help make it a lot simpler, especially as it breaks down what the weak link in that setup will be.
If it helps, my laptop has Intel i5-3230M @2.60GHz, 4GB RAM and Intel HD4000 graphics which is apparently 1.8GB. It runs the game in pretty much the most basic form, and can sometimes cope with some of the settings being upped a bit (depending on what's processing in the background. If you've got anything equal or better than this then I'd suggest that you can probably run it okay. Graphics obviously don't look great by current standards, but it's still better than PS2 level IMO.
My laptop is just about at the minimum requirements if my memory serves. RX is clearly not an option for me but running around on my own on the stages with the graphics set at minimum works fine. Some people wouldn't put up with the graphics but they're OK really, the scenery and the shapes of the cars are fine it's just a few blurry sponsor logos on the cars. The brilliant physics behind it all more than makes up for any shortcomings as a result of my PC spec
My PC will run DiRT3 with graphics set at 'high' so I think it will at least run DiRT Rally at some level... :)
I'm a casual gamer so I'm not that bothered about it looking amazing, just that the gameplay is good and having the latest RX cars to drive.
Been waiting ages for this and had to make do with playing CMR2 in Arcade with skins of the latest RX cars...

Codemasters contacted Ryan Champion to record sounds of his 555, so that one will have authentic sounds, and those are Iconic! :D
Mousti is that for real? How do you know?
Dominique Galland
New update out for RX, including the DS3, JRM Mini and Isaachsen's Impreza...plus Hell and rain! Sadly I'm just about to change jobs and hand back my laptop, so I've had to uninstall Steam and will have to wait until I can afford a new PC :(

And most important of all: RX multiplayer!
The biggest thing for me was they fixed a bug with the sound on gravel - all noises (co-driver, engine, the gravel itself) would go all juddery and as if they were under water. I was driving myself crazy thinking that my PC was just too slow for the game and trying to find ways of making more efficient use of my PC's RAM (and other things I don't understand lol), even though it worked fine when I first started playing.
Spent about 2 1/2 hours driving through Powys in the sport quattro yesterday :) Best rally game ever!
Any news on Dirt for console???
Dont suppose anyone knows how to convert a car from DiRT Rally to use in DiRT 3 ?
I believe the files for both games are very similar and can be converted using 'EGO Pssg editor', but I dont know how to do this...
I want to use the Fiesta 2015 WRC in DiRT 3.. If anyone wants the file its available here: http://mesa.extra.hu/index.php/en/do...port-ott-tanak
Cheers !
Finally ordered a decent computer, so hopefully by the end of next week I'll finally be able to play this game again. Even better, for the first time in my life I'll have a PC that might be able to play a game without lowering all the graphics settings :D
DIRT for CONSOLE!!
My new PC finally turned up so, for the first time in months, I've been able to play Dirt again. It's like learning it all over again now that the handling has changed and having been used to Dirt 3 for a while. Loving Finland though, a 7 minute+ stage in the Quattro? Fantastic!!
Interesting to have a few of the updates, one important one being the noise on the 95 Impreza which was way off from realistic before. The noise of the new Evo when you're off the power is also absolutely spot on compared to the real thing, as is the Focus that they must have had help from Steve Perez for. Love hearing the noise of the cars in the forests, genuinely realistic even if I'm not on the throttle very often!
What PC have you got? I think I may have to accept that my laptop is gradually lagging behind more and more each day to play this game acceptably.

Great for Dirt but seem to be having a few issues on COD where multiplayer gets a weird glare type effect in either bright yellow or purple in certain parts of the map. Have played around with all the in game settings but I'm new to PC gaming so don't really know what I'm doing. Strangely it seems to be worse on some maps than others :mark:
Just downloaded Dirt Rally.
OMG! Brilliant but impossible.
The co-driver notes bare no resemblance to road in front of me. I was better with Nicky Grist on the old Colin McRae games.
I am still waiting for PS4 version :D
It does get easier with practice, although I've found the pacenotes to be, on the most part, reasonably accurate. The key for me was to spend some time in the Mini doing the championship, although it bounces all over the place it is a good way to get to grips with the handling.
Sweden, Polo & i20 WRC coming very soon.
My wish is about to be true..
Update is out now, also Early Acces has ended which means this is the V1.0 release.
And coming to consoles on April 5th.
Game is coming to consoles... but which? I have Xbox 360.... and don't think I'll get latest gen of any console for some time...
Just PS4 and XBOX1.
XBOX360 is over 10 years old now, about time they stopped supporting it really. The old consoles have been holding back multi-platform releases.
IT IS?!?!? 10 years?! Wow.... what am I missing out!? PS4 it is! Or One!
Depends if you prefer Forza or Gran Turismo. I think I'll get a PS4 for DiRT and Gran Turismo 19 at some point
Can anyone list please all cars available in the game? can't find it anywhere? And is it true Citroen DS3 WRC is not in the game?
60's= Fulvia, Mini
70's= Stratos, Escort Mk2, 131 Abarth, Kadett
Group B= Manta 400, RS200, 205 T16, Delta S4, Sport Quattro, 037, 6R4
Group A= Sierra, Impreza, Escort Cosworth, M3, Delta Integrale,
F2= 306, Ibiza

Hillclimb= 205, 405, S1
And still no DS3 WRC.
No the DS3 WRC is not included (yet?).
There won't be a DS3 WRC in the game. Mainly because Citroen are assholes.
Oh boohoo. Who gives a shit when you can drive around in an Audi Sport Quattro or a Subaru Impreza group A both with highly accurate engine noise
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Grp. A VI?
WRC Evo VII?
Evo WRC2 from 2004/5?
Pug 206? 307?
Sorry my era is from the 2000's! :D
