No idea for both questions, sorry.
It has nearly nothing common with race Touareg. This is a buggy. It has huge suspension travel, a lot bigger wheels, much less weight etc. The rules for buggies and 4WD are very different. This new Peugeot is closer to other large buggies such as those from Gordon (it's also closer to American baja trucks than to 4WD Dakar cars).

When is entrylist of Rallye Oillybya du Maroc published
Latest rumours talk about two Peugeot 2008 DKR on this race with Sainz and...Loeb ;)
Not the most reliable source, but Autosport.pt reported yesterday that Loeb will be driving a 2008 DKR in next Dakar. The announcement will be made next week before Maroc Rally, in which Loeb will race the car for the first time.

Hirvonen quick today. Watching split times and Loeb started 8 mins ahead of Mikko and hasn't passed the waypoint and Mikko has.
Sainz quickest to 3rd waypoint.

Unfortuneately Loeb was again in trouble today wednesday after 65km of leg: he almost rolled his 2008 in the dunes and had to wait about 3 hours someone to help him to get back on his wheels :(
Looks like Al Attiyah is going steady. Keeping an eye on Vasiliev rather than Sainz
can Nasser even drive so? I thought he always tries to be first no matter what.
Sainz again fastest splittime. Speed of the Peugeot looks decent.
Sainz in trouble. Stopped just after CP1. Hasnt reached CP2 yet (15 minutes since leader at CP2 Al Rajhi)
