Bostanci will have 25 years old until 2014 December 3. At that date, the championship is over
Despite I dont agree with it (I wanted one year more), regulations says:Quote:

Thanks Pluto, I'm clarified with the subject.
Bad for Bostanci and it is a pity that he can't participate because he is a fast driver and it would be good for Junior ERC
I completely agree with you.Quote:

He doesn't look too slow....good speed.
He is not slow at all. I would say even more - he is bloody fast! Just look on last year ERC "Liepaja-Ventspils" results - http://www.ewrc-results.com/results.php ... spils-2013Quote:

If I remember right he started on old Pirelli WRC tyres and moreover broke suspension in one of first stages. He run up-to-date Muchelin tyres in the last day.
Perhaps something has been lost in translation.....:)Quote:

Yes, I must admit I admire Jan Cerny too! I remember when he started driving Subaru in ERC at the age of 18. I thought what the hell is this kid looking for? But he wasn't bad at all.Quote:

And when he switched to Clio R3 he made some astonishing results. He won ERC 2WD in 2012. Can he repeat it in 2014? I wish him good luck!

Impressive times from the Juniors in rally Liepaja, promising for the rest of the year!
Congratulations to Jan Cerny :)
Today and tomorrow, the 10 finalists will compete to win a seat for several ERC rallies + rallye du Condroz.Quote:

And the nominees are:
The top 5 juniors in 2013: Matthias Boon, Polle Geusens, Ghislain de Mevius, Guillaume de Mevius and Thibault Radoux
The top 5 selected after a few tests (simulator, interviews,...) last week: Gino Bux (23 ans), Romain Delva (21 ans), Guillaume De Ridder (21 ans), Simon Pirard (19 ans) and Arthur Tanghe (18 ans).
So..Is this easy win  for Boon or is there some other to follow??Quote:

Both selections has nothing to do with eachother and also none of the events interfere with eachother so it's possible he could do both..Quote:

Anyway, we will have the name of the Junior RACB this afternoon/evening :)
Napoca Rally Academy launched its junior line-up last night in Bucharest, confirming a J-ERC campaign for Romanian youngster Florin Tincescu. He will compete in Azores, Belgium, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Corsica on boad a Citroen C2 R2 Max along with his usual co-driver Iulian Nicolaescu. Meanwhile, Simone Tempestini announced a 6-round J-WRC programme.
I'm surprised too, seems he impressed alot against the more experienced pilots like Boon, Geussens, Ghislain de Mevius and De Ridder. Bux has some rallying experience but most experience comes from racing on circuit I think.
Sorry, I wanted to edit my previous post, but I deleted it.
So, there was written, that winner is... ...Gino Bux
Good luck to Gino Bux for his ERC campaign ;)
I've been to the Shoot-out this afternoon. Bux was faster by 2 tenths. But the stage, on a asphalt circuit, was slow and tricky. Not a single fast corner (never in 5th gear). It was (almost) all about braking points and avoiding mistakes.Quote:

Just a pitty that Kevin Demaerschalk, former RACB member, is out of the picture. IMHO he is the only young Belgian who have enough talent to be the next Neuville.
He crashed too much I guess?

You're right but he's the only one with enough speed for the top. I'm sure it will/would pay one day.Quote:

What do you mean ??? Pontus Tidemand didn't receive a drive in WRC2 with Fiesta R5 :confused:Quote:

Its really a possible platform for a very successful championship, and what makes it really interesting is that very few of the drivers have contested more than possibly one or two of the events before. Cerny and Immonen had a small advantage in Liepaja Rally, as they had been there before. Steve Rřkland, who competed for a podium in Latvia until he went off on stage 9, is one of the few with any experience from Circuit of Ireland, which is the next round. Rřkland has done the Circuit twice in the British Championship, and should be a contender in his newly aquired Peugeot 208 coming month. The following is a link to our programme on Viasat Sport in Norway, with focus mainly on the juniors:

so, which one you didn´t count?
It is not that bad. Entry fee, tyres and car itself makes very big share of the budget.Quote:
