Right on the last answer.
I'm thinking the night owls are monopolizing this, so I'll leave your question for the early birds. (and I'm too tired to come up with another good question tonight :)

Only 2 drivers have done it, the other driver is Johnny Mantz @ Darlington, SC - 1950
Right on Stan! your turn.
I don't want to be a party pooper but when answering a question lets be courteous and wait for the person that asked the question to confirm the answer before posting another question. No matter how sure you are of the answer. On another note it is good to see some new players in the Trivia and the questions are pretty good.
Who was the most recent driver to win the Cup Championship without racing in all of the points races in the season ?
Richard Petty in 71 ran 46 of 48. (I was thinking DE missed a race due to injury in one of his champ years, but I can't find a record of it)
You are correct Jonesi !!! :D
1971 Winston Cup Champion, Richard Petty skipped the points race @ Macon, GA.
(The other race was the Race 2 qualifier for the Daytona 500, he competed in Race 1)
It's your turn Jonesi. :D
Official Nascar records show 26 wins for Rex White, however other sources credit him with 28 wins. Which races are disputed and what is the reason for the discrepances?

It is good to see you and some others contribute to the Nascar Trivia thread with good questions. RFS, Hoss, and myself try to monitor the Trivia and keep it going within the rules.Quote:

That's correct, or at least the same answer I came up with 10/2/94 N Wilkesboro. Your turn.
while on the topic of Hoosier tires, who scored their last pole?
I would guess it was Geoff at Dover two weeks earlier.
not quite, keep searching!
Rick Mast, 1994 Brickyard 400
nope, it's 94 but verrryyy late in the season.
Surely not Greg Sacks at Atlanta in 1994?
that's it. last race of the season, and i believe one of Sack's two career poles. the 77 car for DK Ulrich ws a Hoosier car that whole 94 season.Quote:

Never. Most races in a season was 1957, 42 of 53 races.
You are correct. In only 2 seasons did Fireball race in over half the races for the year. His win ratio is amazing, 1 win for every 6.27 races.Quote:

What Cup race(s) had the most Cup Champions racing in them? (Past or current only, not future) If you know that might as well give the champions too. ;-)
How about a little hint.Quote:

This thread used to be fun.
Lately it has become a quest to ask questions that require complex researching.
It has changed from a sharing of information to a stump the forum competition.
My interest in this thread has expired because :
I refuse to spend the time to do the excessive research to find an answer.
I have other things to do, there is life outside this thread. http://www.motorsportforum.com/forum...ongue-anim.gif
Sure, it's in the last few years, and it happened six times.Quote:

Ok, here is an easy one. What Nascar driver in "1989" did a Cannonball Run in morning rush hour traffic from Hendrick "Pontiac" on East Independence Boulevard in Charlotte to the WRFX studios uptown on East Fourth Street.
There are 2 clues in the question for those willing to think on it a bit.
bump, this is really an easy one.Quote:
