Could Nasser win in a Buggy?!
Anything is possible on the Dakar I guess. However very little is known about the vehicle and team. If he does, it would be a rabbit out of the hat wouldn't it?

Usually during the first week of December.Quote:

As you said, Wevers has no particular interest in running a Mitsubishi.Quote:

But Spinelli is in priority list, and suported by manufacturer, so it is mandatory to use a production engine (T2 eligible engine).
Having Mr. Viardot (Ex Ralliart technical chief) being the man back to Spinelli´S ASX, and also Viardot having helped Wevers on the adaptation to Mustangs V8, I assume Spinelli runs the same Mustang V8, but will no be mentioned anywhere.
Thanks!Quote:

By the way, Mitsubishi Brazil is the official vehicle supplier for the Dakar, there will be almost 50 cars produced here in Brazil available for the staff of the event.
Aston Martin engine? that could be a wise move.
It is more acceptable for Mitsubisho to use a more exclusive engine than Ford or other real competitor. No Mitsu competes with an Aston Martin.
Aston Martin was Ford brand until recently, it may even have same base blocks an engines, but I am not an expert of aston Martin so no comments on that side

It would be nice to see if all competitors reveal basic spec of vehicles when the drivers list is published.

So VW aren't the main supplier nor entering? :(
Qatar Red Bull Team's buggies were designed and built in California. Now Gottschalk will be Sainz's co-driver and Cruz Nasser's (it seems the Qatari has imposed that Cruz had to be his co-driver).
Yup.. not anymore.. everybody wants to win and looks like they were cheesed off with the new regulations which made them less competitiveQuote:

Yes indeed a lot of mistakes.Quote:

What power unit is in Nasser's buggy?
The buggy is a monster (errr, a bull rather).
BTW. What's up with drivers' caps? Couldn't afford new ones?
So, no Gordon or a Hummer on the list?Quote:

If it was just for driver's skill, I'd add them to the list, but their machinery don't seem to be on par with the others on the list. I'd be more than happy to be positevely surprised by the HRX Lancers, though :)Quote:

I know the question is rhetoric, but I'll anwer anyways: Hopefully nobody, as we don't really need swearing "on air".Quote:

Anyways, do people think Nasser and Sainz have a chance to win a 2WD buggy against the MINI's?!
Are the French still building it (the MINI X-Raids) or now another company? I recall when Prodrive began having issues with BMW support, the French company had issues with BMW as well....
I thought someone said the cars were built in California and I believe Gordon's team is in North Carolina. And I wouldn't expect Nasser to work with Gordon again after last year.

Cool. Thanks guys!
yes, regulation is such that 2WD buggies are in with a chance to win. Copious amounts of horse power, light weight, longer wheel travel suspension and large diameter wheels are some of the regulations in their favor. Note that Schlesser won two Dakars in a row with a 2WD buggy.Quote:
