Who stepped in for John Cleland after Cleland had broken his ribs? And what year was it ?
I remember this - Cleland broke his ribs in an accident just before Russell at Snetterton in 1998 and so Flavio Figueiredo stepped in for a few races.
Yes the two Thruxton races, Cleland was back at Knockhill.Quote:

At a guess I'd say sometime in 1998 when Hoy was racing for Ford. The team in the years before wasn't really up to it and I don't think he won since
Year and car correct.
Track?
Silverstone.
Yep
Who's next?
As Andy Speed is off line you can have a go PDS ;)
Who stood in for James Thompson when he had his bad accident in his Cavalier at Knockhill in 1995?
Jeff Allam at Knockhill, then Mike Briggs for the rest of the season.
Well done. It was Jeff Allam I was after.
People seem to forget that he stood in at the last moment for Thompson.
This is a rather obscure question. All the meetings in the 1993 BTCC were televised on the BBC apart from one, the first Brands meeting. What was the reason the coverage was cancelled?
TV rights! Brands wanted the copyright and ownership of the TV coverage!
Not as far as I know. It was replaced by something.
Something far more important like Tennis!
Not a bitch at Oulton 99 and Snettterton 01 at all!!!!
off-topic, but who televised the BTCC round from Donnington (GP support) in 1993?
It features on the season review, and the highlights of the race were shown on TV in Australia during the season
proton
Not tennis. It was motorsport-related.Quote:
