Mark van Eldik and Edwin Schilt will enter Ypres too with a Fabia S2000!
Also Guino Kenis will drive Ypres in the BMW Z4 :D

That's 6 in SWRC. Craig Breen has one for UK Nationals (as do a number of other nationalities ).
Around 45 were built. Prokop has two, many others as well and some where also destroyed.
In the last issue of “Vauhdin Maailma” in the section of “depot whispers” they tell that the Danish driver Martin Knudsen is in negotiations with Proton for the third car in Geko Ypres rally.
Their source, perhaps: http://www.ircseries.com/html/readNews.asp?id=2591Quote:

No, you are OK, Vauhdin Maailma is little bit late :)
Well, that's generally a problem with monthly printed media. But then again, 98 out of 100 of their readers haven't heard of the news before, so it justifies its place. If you don't drop in to this forum once or twenty times a day, have at least three Czech rally news sites on your bookmarks or read GPweek word by word, those little news in Vauhdin Maailma are valid :-)Quote:

There's just a bomb exploded around Patrick Snijers!!

In Ypres he'll start with the Mini "S2000" and after that they going to adjust them to the Mini John Cooper WRC for the rest of the BRC with the support of Logi Technic and will be serviced by BMA!
Very, very nice!!! :)Quote:

At least it's very nice to see a driver like Snijers in action... no matter what car he drive... :)
I would wait till the Ypres scrutineering. There is always a lot of talking and rumors about Patrick...
Snijers S2000 has a 1.6turbo engine, it is a downgraded WRCar. So how wil he fit into the IRC rally?
I know Ypres is also a rally for the Belgium championship, which allows WRCars, so he could also start with a WRcar version of the Mini and be only counted for the BRC?
He cannot start with 1.6 turbo in IRC event

For him it's the perfect car though it's a car where u need to work with and not like the Focus who sticks to the ground like a train on rails. Tsjoen will eventually buy a DS3 of Fiesta when availabe probably too expensive for Snijers. For fighting for top 5 he needs a top Fabia S2000.. He isn't getting younger..
thanks for explaning. So Snijers will compete in the ERC part of the Ypres rally. Are there more drivers using a 1.6T S2000 in the ERC?
For now nobody yet. There are rumours but nothing official that I know.
Actually it looks that nobody of ERC registered drivers will use 1.6T
Actually , the Mini S200 didn't prove very competitive on tarmac , with good drivers ...
Logical most tests went to gravel, in summer that'll improve for sure when they need some testing on tarmac. Snijers need only to look to Tsjoen, Romain and Debackere in classification. And he's also more and more driving for fun what he did also today in the Sezoens. Everyone complained about him that he was done after the split with Geko. But I knew he would drive minimal one rally! He's finding more then 10 years now new sponsors to fund him and get him some nice cars to drive in rally each year!Quote:

31 would be better then, 33 a bit too much I think. They'll change the restrictor size next year?Quote:

No. Last year he was planning to do ERC, but they have changed date for his home Kopna to same date as Croatia and crashed car before Ypres, so he decided not to continue in ERC. This year he was also planning to to ERC, but because he is renting his car to Beres in Slovakia, he decided to do only czech championships.
Thanks Pluto was afraid of that answer. It's getting on my nerves ( :D ) the slow going of the S2000's entering on the list although it's probably because of the events before Ypres that it takes so long.

By the way I think 15 Fabias S2000 is realistic number for Ypres :)
Are they still allowed to run pre-facelift Fabia in Ypres?
In FIA field not but when I see Van Woensel on the entry list I guess there will be some national field also? Tomorrow is the last day when narrow Fabia is allowed.
ok thx. You know if Georges already has a wide one? Cause Casier should drive it and I guess he is not willing to drive in national field ;) Also the Brits have the narrow ones
