Do you know if Stéphane Sarrazin will run Corsica too, as this coming week-end he will be at Spa-Francorchamps to run the 1000km endurance race
Also there was a rumour of presence of Alexandre Bengué in a Mini S2000 in Corsica(after the annoucement of his forfait from Rallye Lyon-Charbonnières)...more news ???
1.6T are not allowed in IRC, so he can run only in national field.
How will they do that when there's a IRC event with ERC also in it, like Ypres? Will be a bit confusing because like Tsjoen will maybe enter with it but if it only counts for ERC and not for IRC..Quote:

And then the question is who will feel the real winner then of Ypres. If that happens I don't think Tsjoen will rent a Mini then because he will not compete against the IRC stars what not really he's ambition but competing with them is what he likes and for the BRC for what we now know nobody is probably able to challenge him there.Quote:

That is real problem. For some time it looked like these events would have to choose either IRC or ERC but not both. In the moment I think that they will run separate field of all ERC-registred competitors and the rest including IRC. Since ERC is in FIA hierarchy higher championship, ERC competitors shall run first and overall winner of the event shall be chosen from ERC field.Quote:

Then maybe Tsjoen will be motivated to rent one, being winner of the overall Ypres rally for 2nd time he would love that.Quote:

ERC = FIA Regional Championship ;)
Of course... I did wonder since nobody seemed to know what spec the Minis were running in Portugal until after the event started!Quote:

Entry list is up !! http://www.rallye-sport.fr/liste-des...de-corse-2011/
19 S2000 not record breaking..
I've just discovered the entrylist too and wanted to be the first to post it on this forum :p :
I see that Jan Kopecky has changed his name :D
Not really a great entrylist, i was expecting a litlle bit more. Wonder if there will be somebody that can create some surprise in result.
I see he has changed his appearance as well!Quote:

Indeed that is disappointing but I still suspect it will be an entertaining rally if Canarias was anything to go by, plus we have live tv.
I guess Peugeot didn't bother sending anyone "special" so Skoda didn't need to respond.... a product of the almost date clash with Sardinia and Sarrazin's Le Mans programme?
I agree, I also expected something more. It's not bad entry list but there is nothing more than expected, no nice surprise after all...

Well 1000KM's of Spa is really exhausting for a driver and for sure one who is going for the win. He'll probably be not fully recuperated and quesnel has probably also full confidence in Bouffier.Quote:

Yeah and this is on home soil.. Something very different than in Canarias so really I wouldn't put him away of the Favorite list..Quote:

I only want Peugeot winning with Thierry behind the wheel only that Peugeot may win ^^
I wouldn't discount Bouffier either, but on the evidence of Canarias he might not be quick enough. I'm not sure if he has driven much on Corsica before even though it is French territory?
Complaints against Quesnel hiring extra drivers for Monte is news to me?
In my view, there is Monte, there is WRC and there is IRC. Our good old friend in Peugeot does not give a s..t about IRC but he does know that Monte is more than just one or another round in the championship.
What's with nr. 4 ???
