I hope you're right. However in World Superbikes, which is a one-make Pirelli series, there have been quite a few problems with "bad" tyres. They have 2 races in a day so it's pretty obvious something's up when a rider uses ostensibly identical tyres in both races, and one lasts the distance while the other goes off after 5 laps. It's not something that's happening all the time, but often enough to be a pattern, and certainly enough to be a massive controversy if the same thing happens in F1.

controversy? at least it would bring some action... tire roulette on top of SC roulette or rain roulette :p
