Something broken in Subaru of Longhi (something in rear suspension I think) and he is out of the rally to...
Matteo Gamba had a puncture on SS4.. he changed the tyre the SS and lost more tha 5 min... :(
Andreucci made a spin on SS 5 and lost 7.2 sec. to Rossetti..
Now Rosseti leads with 5.8 sec advantage.
Is Perico move to 207 S2000 100 % confirmed Tom206WRC?
I hope so because he is obviously very fast !
One of the man of rally until now is Alessandro Perico. Amazing exibition!
It would be great if FIA allows a reduce of Car weight to S1600 class.
Sure it is confirmed 100%!Quote:

Rossetti lost 6s to Andreucci on SS6, back to the lead for 0.2s... ;)
And Perico continues his great performance ;)
It seems Rossetti is in troubles.. he lost 5 min. in SS 7 :(
Puncture for Rossetti who had to change a wheel in stage !!! :mark:
I thought the Pirellis(tyres of Andreucci) didn't last long on tarmac, but here a BFGoodrich had the puncture :s
Rossetti lost time because he had a puncture and he changed the tyre...
There is SuperRally on Ciocco.. but Basso will not start tomorrow with 45 min. penaltie... Abarth anounced that they are really off...
Day 2 of the rally is over and Andreucci is on the lead!
What a day for Rally Ciocco!!!
All the expectations on the big fight for the 1st place over after Rossetti's puncture... it was being really exciting to follow the leaders...
Andreucci had a brilliante day, beside a little mistake (spin) on SS 5.
But.. .for me the man of the rally until now.. is Alessandro Perico.. he has been very consistente all day, he had some little problems in the last stages with alternator.
This Year there is a big gap between Oficcial Mitsu and the privateer Mitsu.. Gamba was having a nice day too.. but he had a puncture and lost a wheel on the last stage...
Nice day for Davide Medici to.
Many drivers had problems in their cars and punctures...
Very dispointing rally by Subaru Team :( really dispointing...
Aren't the subbies still driving on small wheels, so with small brake discs?
If you look at this:

That's Manfrinato's Car.... he isn't official Subaru Team driver....Quote:

For Sure Official's Subaru are running with big wheels and big brakes ;)
This picture were taken in a test in February...

Oh, i see, thank you madeira!
Well, subaru has some work to do then... :)
As soon there are vids, show!!! :)
Second leg starts in about 5 minutes :)
I hope Rossetti will keep on attacking on the last four 15km long stages :bounce:
Andreucci extend his lead.. and beat Rossetti once again..Quote:

It looks we will see a big battle for a podium finish between Medicci and Perico..
Medicci won SS11 and now he is "only" about 10 sec. behind Perico... if wee look at the times.. Perico won 15.3 on with this stage victory.. so in the second round in the stages it's possible to win another 15 sec.. It will be exciting for sure!
[Edited: Meddicci didn't won the stage.. Rossetti won..]
Cantamessa had a broken differential at the end of stage 11... he hopes to arrive to service park to fix the car..
Chentre went off road.. and.. is out..
Ralliart changed rear differential of Andreucci's car... may for precaution...
SS12 running... ;)
Impossible for Rossetti to improve his position now(he's 11th about 1 minute behind the 10th) :(
Fantastic Perico!!!
Meddicci was forcing the 3rd place.. Perico Improve is pace and won 7.9 sec to Meddici... really impresssive rally by Perico...
One ss to the end of rally and Andrea Perego has a short advantage for Andrea Dallavilla. They will discuss the six position!
There's no much more to say about Ciocco...
Andreucci did a fantastic rally and shown that Mitsu (Ralliart) are much better than Subaru... and much batter than privateer Mitsu.
I think Cantamessa can't do much more with a privateer car.. he was consistent during all rally and no mistakes.. but he was always far from Andreucci...
Perico was the big surprise of the rally for me... really impressive... always top times and almost no mistakes. Let's see if he what he can do with 207 S2000 on nex race.
Rally lost some interest with Basso's error on the 1st stage.. and with the unlucky of Rosseti when he had a puncture.
Subaru was really disappointing on this rally... they never could set top stage times in "real" stages...
Bad luck for Meddicci who was consistent 4th overall before last stage... ha had an off on the last stage...
I conclude that this year CIR is a little bit different from last years... there is a big gap between official and privateers... let's wait for San Marino to see how it will be the future of 2007 CIR.
BTW.. thanks to Claudio from Rallylink for his precious informations and congratulations the organization of Rally del Ciocco.. they had always live stage times working pretty good.
Provisional final classification
1.Andreucci
2.Cantamessa+58.5
3.Perico+1.21.9
4.Aghini+1.56.3
5.Perego+2.55.9
6.Dallavilla+3.01.9
7.Cavallini+4.00.8
8.Pierangioli+4.21.8
9.Manfrinato+4.34.9
10.Rossetti+4.49.2
And also a good victory for Pirelli...!
I can't wait for San Marino in 3 weeks !!! :bounce:
And if this time Alessandro Perico won in front of Andreucci, Rossetti, Basso,... ;)
But overall I think Luca will remain my favourite for the win there :p :
I hope to see some nice video footage of the rally. Last year I could follow CIR on rally action, but that is no longer excisting!!!
I'm really jalous about Italy, you have a great championship, if you compare it with Belgium.
Hope the privat teams will catch up very soon and of course the subbies too!!
It's good to see Perico near the front again after a difficult year with the Subaru in 2006 - remember, he did win Sanremo 2005 with a Clio! But don't get your hopes up too high for San Marino. That's a gravel rally and Perico has never done better than 10th on a gravel round of the Italian Championship, and it remains to be seen how the 207 S2000 will do on that surface. But I agree that on asphalt a second CIR victory in his career is a possibility this season.

What do you mean? There is no Rally Action on TV anymore? I see that the website is still functioning at http://www.rally-action.comQuote:
