Nice driving there! How did you get the bumper cam? I've been trying to get that for a long time, my favorite driving view.Quote:

I guess New Bobs looked alright, but I'm pretty slow in the latter half as it's a new stage for me. Never went past the halfway point during practice, always kept crashing, but kept it together for the final run. Still pretty slow. I have to improve a LOT before I even think about winning a rally soon. Below is the video of my run at New Bobs:

Just waiting for times from Paddy and Paul now.
Very interesting rally - one championship contender was out of the fight from stage 1, there was a big scrap for the lead and there are clearly no team orders in a specific team! Oh, and by the end of days 1 and 2 a certain VW Polo S2000 car was seriously embarrasing a whole pile of WRC cars. It's a pity I stuffed the last day, otherwise a top 5 finish was genuinely on the cards!
Very interesting indeed! Can't wait for the results. I like the S2000 cars so far more than the WRC cars. Not because they're easier to handle, but they're more fun to drive. For example, I might have gone faster with the WRC car on Mineshaft II, but with the S2000 car it was more enjoyable.Quote:

Not more embarassing than my Cote D'Arbroz run-Struggled to finish, without breaks and only with 5th gear... :(Quote:

I usually edit [Cam_internal] part but it takes trial and error to get it right. Heresa little tutorial for it.Quote:

Driving the 205 GTI on the limit was a challenge enough. The car has no power out of hairpins or up hills. God only knows what inspired me to select it! Anyway, I kind of enjoyed the run. It was certainly different to the challenge of a WRC car: a lot easier in many respects, but harder to drive on the limit when you want to shave a few seconds off your time.
Results will only be out tomorrow afternoon- its a holiday here today.
I had planned on submitting times for S2000 and WRC for this event, but in the wee hours when I ran my rallies I lost focus after doing my S2000 run.
I wish I had submitted WRC times as I am finding my stage times about 10-20 seconds faster :(
These stages really seem to hit hard against cars which are down on power. Take it from someone in an N3 205 :p :Quote:

Guys, after Installing patch 4 some car classes vanished!!!
Should I Install complete pack v3, 9/5/2010 In order to get them back?
Also when try to run BTB stages 1+2, I get the message that my BTB files are old ( should I get all BTB stages packs for update3 to work? )
Yeah, you need to install that complete car pack to get those car classes back and also get those four BTB stages packs if you want to try BTB stages with the newest updates. It isn't exactly the most bandwidth efficient way of doing things but it is the only way to get them working again.

The rally ran fine in the end, but it was getting off the ground that I struggled with.
Before I could even post times, every time I loded a new stage to drive my machine would switch off, as in power off on the wall. This happened three times and I eventually resorted to the fact that I will DNS this rally.
I then went and watched the dismal SA vs Uruguay football match and thought after the game ‘let me give it another go’. Well I had no hassles after that and managed to run the rally okay.
I tried to run as fast as possible – full risk kind of driving at first, but as the night grew longer, my focus and concentration waned and I had to start driving a little more cautiously.
Most stages ran well, but it was at New Bobs I was most dissapointed, at the second split, I was 18sec ahead of my personal best and looking fine. I then had to call for help after a soft roll onto the roof! That hurt !
I found the raklly brilliant. More rallies like this should be run, with more of the standard game stages. Great stuff!
Ok results are up: http://www.rbrmfcup.sixserve.net
Very happy with having claimed the S2000 title - thats 4 titles for me in the last 4 internet rally championships I've done! :champion:
Congrats to OMV Red Bull Rally Team as well for wrapping up their title. Well deserved...
Well done to my team mate Francis on a great win. I was also pretty happy to win a stage on my home event. The pace was very quick, I was thinking I had done a good enough time in Greenhills but to be so far down was a surprise.
Looks like the battle in the last round to get 2nd in the teams event and utilising team orders :) to get Francis in 1st.
There's a bit riding on Francis winning as I have offered him a test drive in my rally car if he wins :)
Ray
Congratulations to you Bruce for your S2000 title and excellent performance, perhaps a change for a WRC car next rally so you could fight for overall win :) ?! Congratulations to OMV Red Bull Rally Team for their excellent team work and performance.
It was a good rally for me and for Baker Motorsport too, next event I still have to push because a 2nd place in the Teams is possible and I think together with Ray we might be able to do it.
Congrats to Francis for winning this rally and quite possibly the championship!
Congrats also to Bruce for taking the title for the S2000 class!
I pretty much expected this result for me because of the issues I had in this rally. It is very nice to have won teams championship and I am very happy for Macd taking the second place.
Thanks Francis! Well I've already decided not to change to the WRC class next season, rather defend my title in S2000. I've got a feeling Tannat might concentrate on it next season and then it's going to be a real fight.Quote:

Well this went bad...real bad! :(
Gongrats to Francis!
Nice battles there X-ecutioner VS Paul and Paul VS Ray!
Almost all drivers had their great moments! ;)
Bye bye podium for this season... :D
p.s. Site works fine now Bruce!
Yeah it was down for a bit not sure why but its back properly now
Fairly dominant drive, Francis-cheers
WOW! 11 entries! That's the best we've had, isn't Bruce D?
Stellar times by Bruce in S2000. Had you stayed on the road I couldn't hold a torch to you.
Disappointed with 8th. Need to prioritize my car choice before I tackle stages. This was an event for cars with long legs...
And Bruce-if anything I'll tackle next season as this season. Car choice as dictated by the rally conditions ;)
I WANT 5TH!!!!!!!!! :D

You can't have 5th! :p
Being 7 points down on you, and 2 down on Paul, I think you are right... :pQuote:

So I guess I'll try and rack up another points finish in GB - I definitely won't reach 11th in the driver's championship, but 12th is still a possibility. Congratulation to the winners on this event and to Bruce for wrapping up the S2000 title.
You set some good times in the 205 paddy-I've had a look at the results book :up:Quote:
