It's also already the case with the road car

It looks ugly as well.
Well, it is boring and ugly then.
I think it's a fine looking car. But at the same time I think it's a bit lame compared to current WRC guns.
Its looks nice but i miss the sound of the 2.0 na engine of the s2000 cars, i think its a shame it will be a 1.6 T.
Interesting vid.
I think it's maybe a little better than the current WRCs but at the same time I am a little disappointed. Are they using full S2000 spec transmission on that?
I will look forward to seeing what it is like with the 1.6T engine and also a tarmac test to see how "loose" the car is there.
Yes like all the Citroëns. :p :Quote:

Here are some details about the car use for this test :

- C4 restricted motor
- Sadev diff and gearbox
- BOS dampers
Thanx
Back end of DS3 looks bit like Suzuki WRC. Fiesta has the upper hand appearance wise so far but hopefully performance will be there.
SX4 WRC looked way better than this rolling hill of waste :D :D
But you are right, especially the Wing
Yeah i know this but i just love the sound of s2000 cars in the forest... for me na engines sound better thats all.Quote:

Can some technical brain on these forums (Mirek or OldF?) tell us how they need to write the rules to make modern turbo engines sound good?
I'm hoping that when the 1.6Ts break cover for the first time, things will be rather different but this test video seems to be the worst of both worlds - none of the fantastic turbo sounds of old but also revving much lower than the S2000 cars.
I think these "S1600T" rules have a lot of potential to deliver us a more exciting car but I hope they find a way to make the motors rev a bit higher and deliver slightly less torque at the bottom of the rev range.
The DS3 in the video handles too much like the current WRCars despite the simpler transmission.
Don't care about sound until there's not the right engine under bonnet ;)
Ok, so are you confident that the 1.6T will be better than the current WRCs?Quote:

No, I'm not confident about anything concerning new engines. I just don't want to judge one engine from different unit.
Reading all the back and fourth with FIA and producers, I think the late Colin McRae had a point with analogue cars and a S2500 engine that has much more torque than a S2000 !Quote:

Man that car looks beautifull, first time we see it it's kinda hard to like, but when you get used to it it's such a beauty, just like the C4 WRC!!!!
i don't care how it looks really...once the car is a winner most people don;t care about looks.
the car looks stupidly slow....i guess its going to take a while for the teams to produce a car worthy to be the top dog in rallying with the new regulations.
Does this car have paddle shift on the steering wheel (like WRC) or the same system as all the other S2000-cars?
mechanical sequential shifter..
Is testing with 2L engine from WRC car, or the new 1.6 Turbo?

When the final regulations are decided. Anyone with pictures from inside the car?
I talk with my friend from 'DS3 WRC departament' of Citroen Racing about it. He said that for the moment Citroen don`t publish any photos of DS3 WRC cockpit cause they don't wan't Mini people (Prodrive), or Ford people, or other people see it...Quote:

I think the car is awesome
I hope Meeke gets a works drive with Citroen in the future
