Thanks for the pics/vid JB!
RallyBuzz will have a selection of photos from each of the remaining days, including, today.
Today the photographer was just very sick for a while after practice was over...
As far as i can see from the pictures Eriksson has rolled and marcus was driving bonnet open
So can they now have co-drivers/navigators for this?
I thought a big part of the challenge was remembering the course.

Yes, they can.Quote:

As one can see in the entry list there is a columne with space for the name of a co-driver. However, AFAIK Michèle Mouton (Audi Sport quattro) in 1984 was the last to take a navigator (Fabrizia Pons) with her in the "Unlimited Class" (by then still called "Open Rally Class"). And in 1985 Mouton (Audi Sport quattro S1 by then) went alone up to the summit.
Gronholm's car was overheating today

Day 3 Video : http://planetemarcus.free.fr/pikespeak09.htm
@ Jérémie: There are some little errors in your info. The PPIHC track is 19.99kms long (= 12.42mls), the start is at 2862m (= 9390ft) and the finish or the summit at 4301m (14110ft). ;)
1 statute mile = 1609.344m
1 feet = 30.48cm

The Ford team was not as prepared as they should have been for this event. Marcus has been very frustrated all week with issues with the car...
Ford don't seem to have done much testing :(Quote:

http://www.rallybuzz.com/pikes-peak-practice-photos/ is the correct link for day two, my apologies.
I just wonder what a Sweden based team could do much better for testing…
Whatever they do for testing over here in Europe is IMO not really suitable for the very event in question.
Or is it possible to rent the Pikes Peak Highway for pre-race testing?
"Monster" has no less than 20 years of PPIHC experience on his side.
And to me he looks slower than "Bosse" in the second corner shown in that Day 3 video…

There was a test session June 27th in fact...
The fact that Marcus was allegedly asking other teams for set up tips, they were running massively wrong tires, and have less than 500 foot pounds of torque is almost unforgivable...
Are there any practice times available?
i have found, the radio live during race tomorrow, in official website : http://www.live365.com/cgi-bin/mini....lver01&tm=1812
but everybody know if they are video live coverage too ?
Agree, Marcus "looks" faster round the hairpins but if there is room for improvement then the cars is capable of being even faster!!Quote:
