I'm getting a 360 just for this game. I will look forwards to taking you on xbox live.
When I saw that Codemasters were doing the game I was a little worried, but everything I've seen since says this is going to be a corker. Xbox360 warming up for the 24th September :s mokin:

I generally find F1 games a bit tedious so I'm not going to bother. I'm definitely getting WRC and possibly CoD:BO and maybe GT5 too (not sure that I can dedicate the time that Gran Turismo needs) so can probably do without spending cash on F1.
You F1 fans, may want to see this.

Not really an F1 fan but really enjoyed the old games, not sure if I will pick this one.
Never been Into the F1 thing! Never understood that sport!
Is It an IQ Issue? :D
Has this one been posted yet?

ok a couple of things bother me about this new gameQuote:

I'm not sure I'll get it if it is too simplistic
It's not going to be a sim. With all aids off probably pretty challenging but the goal is obviously to attract as many of the hundreds of millions of F1 fans as possible, which sadly isn't done with a hardcore sim.
I'm not a fan of that section at turn 4. Besides from that, the circuits alright.Quote:

I have seen this game personally and played with it on a trial basis. This is no better than grand theft auto! The designer should have made more collaborations with people on the industry.
Who needs a new F1 game when you have this awesome old one? :D

Muchly appreciate the input, but the manufacturers did. They have employed Anthony Davidson for the past 12 months or so to provide feedback into the way the game handles and operates.Quote:

Same same! Cannot wait for it. I've just done the Ebay shuffle with my XBox 360 as well and upgraded to a HDMI one.Quote:

I can assure you, this will not be an easy game. Anthony Davidson was a key part of the dev team, so that tells me that it will be difficult to be competitive on the hardest difficulty levels, as Ant is a sim nut.
Codies have made the game to cater to any F1 fan out there, so nobody can put a 'sim' or 'arcade' label on it.
I've pre-ordered for PS3 anyway so I can't wait for the release! :)

What you say is all true and I'm sure it will be a great game, but it's hard if not impossible to make a game that fulfills every criteria for an arcade aswell as a hardcore sim without compromises, and since it will be made to be enjoyed by as many people as possible it's in the latter area that most of those compromises will be made.Quote:

Either way, I'm sure it will be great for what it is and I can't wait to play it myself!
I agree mate, it won't be rfactor like, but that's a good thing in many ways.Quote:

As much as F1 mods for rFactor and GTR2 are very good to drive, I'd rather focus less on keeping the car on the track (unless it's in the wet), and focus more on how to build my race.
Like I say though, if Ant Davidson thinks it's good, then I'm sure it will be difficult enough for most of us :D
It'd be rad if it could be hooked up for a full grid of multiplayer.
12 players online only I'm afraid.Quote:

I'll be getting this game on the best platform of course the PS3.
Can't wait. Not had a decent F1 since F1 97 on PS1 and Grand Prix 3 on PC!
The manual for the game has been released:

Reading through it I'm even more excited about getting the game. Sounds really awesome!
link doesn't workQuote:

It takes a long time to load cos it's the actual PDF file loading. Sorry I should have said that the first time.
Here's a better link - save the file from here

I hope its not just LAN then, and is in fact on full online mode (though that would seem rather likely if it was on LAN)Quote:

Official Playstation Mag UK: 9/10
Official Xbox Mag UK: 8/10
OXM Italia: 9.2/10
Gamesmaster Magazine: 9/10
The National (UAE): 5/5
So is the PS3 version a little better than the XB360 version? Any differences?
They're both crap. Get it on PC? ;)Quote:
