I’m not quite sure if I understand what you mean. Do you mean by inteeger (integer) a whole number like 1, 2, etc. If for example the second gear had gear teeth ratios 26 / 12 the ratio would be 2,167.

Yes, exactly. I meant whole numbers. When You have gear ratio 2. The same teeth are in touch after every one turn of bigger and two turns of smaller gear. But when it is for example 2,1, You need 105 turns of smaller gear and 50 of bigger gear for the same (in situation of big number of teeth, othervise it would be more often).
Does anyone know where I can find pictures of the rollcage as I have some Evo X models to make and want to get it correct
Thanks
This was my first E10 model about 4 months ago with a modified WRC Lancer cage fitted

There is rollcage in homologation papers:

Found pics on custom cages site now
The car that was run at Targa West was hastily put together with a bolt in cage and no development. Basically a road car, although it had no ABS. The driver had never competed in a 4wd car before, coming from a classic Porsche. He spent most of his time coming to terms with 4wd, but he did say that the car was a bit of a rocket, but he wasn't prepared to push it until he had more seat time. The car is going back to Heaphy to be fully finished.Quote:

One interesting point about the X versus the 9 is that the X without a cage is as stiff as the 9 with a cage.
I will do a full build report once the car is finished.
Cheers

I'll watch the progress with interest. Are you building a gravel or tarmac car?
It's a tarmac car, the Evo 6.5 is for gravel now.Quote:

The Evo IX RS that won Targa Tasmania earlier this year has been quoted as having over 400hp running 102RON. That's with no intake changes, no engine mods apart from a different head gasket and an exhaust which can have been no more than 6% larger in diameter than the OEM one. So the majority of the power came from better fuel and more aggressive engine mapping via the Motec the car was running.
From what seems to be coming out of the US, it appears the 4B11 can be tweaked to produce power even easier than the 4G63. Only problem is, it sits inside a car that whilst stiffer, also weighs 100kg more, even in RS form.
It’s not hard to get even from an Evo9. The EvoX has intake valves which diameter is 1 mm bigger than Evo9’s valves, so that also can help to get even more power from the EvoX.

Stage 2 = 270 kW = 367 hp
Stage 3 = 300 kW = 408 hp

Maybe a stupid qouestion BUT...
Today I saw a test of the Evo X and I found out that it has flappy paddle gearbox as standard (it was the MR version however).
What does that mean for Group N???
Nothing. That double-clutch gearbox with sequential shifting is not allowed. Group N car continues with dog-box.
Thanks ;) ;) ;)Quote:

here you can find some new pictures of the BRR EvoX

Raimund Baumschlager will drive a local rallye on saturday with this car as a zero car! he was very satisfied with the performance of the car at the test, especially the suspension (sachs) is very good he admitted

Videos from BRR testing?
I like the car but I'm afraid of Impreza-like fate...

Thanks WRC1
That explains why the car has no sound
Just to clearify, Lehmann is in Liechtenstein not Luxemburg....Quote:

keep us informed. :D
It seems that Evo X may not follow Impreza N14's fate. This weekend Herman Gassner and Jesper Van den Heuvel used Evo X. Both still without racing ECU and ALS.
Gassner was second in Slovenian Rally Postojnska Jama (European Cup Central) and Van den Heuvel was fourth in Veenhuizen Groep Nederland Rally. He was first in N4 (2 modern WRC and Evo 8 gr.A infront of him) and secured his gr.N title (second overal behind Wevers in Dutch champioship).
Mirek can you translate this?....please! :D
http://www.ewrc.cz/ewrc/show.php?id=9733
Gassner said the car had great engine, even with standard electronics better torque and rpm range than Evo IX. He said the suspension is also better, especialy traction.
And the rest is about Czech gentleman driver Milan Liška who wants to race with Evo X until the end of the year (maybe on Prague rallysprint in december).
thanks Mirek!
any news for the evo X from our Dutch mates?
well at least its a little bit louder than the evo Ix, thats a plus! haha still S2000 sound is way better (specially fabia!!)Quote:
