I've done the exact thing too, even better tho, we own an astra VXR and the keys have a VXR key ring on. Even more unlikely scenario! lolQuote:

I like the idea of a VXR membership would be happy to pay £20 or a little bit more depending what you got with it.
I think they need a better website with a lot more information and videos etc. (bit like the team rac one) and definatly a model. Would love a vectra model on my shelf.
But these suggestions aside I don't think vauxhall need to do that much more for the fans Seat on the other hand.......
Thank you for the replies, keep the feed back coming. I admit the Vauxhall team is a head of all the other teams. Halfords were good in 2006 but fell away. I admit the vauxhall owners lounge is good but not everyone can drive a Vauxhall, the membership is closer for many fans.
There packages are good but like the car the teams need to keep developing and improving on what they have.
what would be good is if they advertised what they do - like the hospitality tent for VX owners - we only found out in August. And what's this about tickets, car parking etc? Maybe they need a better fans section on the website or something?
As for model - I would def be up for one as the only one I have from the last 4 years of BTCC is TOC's. There are a few WTCC but really Seat and VX should do one.
The models seem to be something that alot of people are intrested in. If you could choose what size would you like 1:18 or 1:43
Interesting....
I remember Audi UK heavily promoted the BTCC, I remember my dad got sent loadsa promo stuff and offers. Biela's car was did a tour of dealerships, I remember going to a champagne marquee after Biela won the title, I still have a promo video somewhere of the A4 Quattro testing in Oulton Park & BTCC highlights, offers on track days and expert tutoring. My dad won a prize draw for an Audi race day tutoring at Oulton Park but unfortunately he couldn't make it.
I get the impression VXR does more than enough. It was great to see and talk to the owners of the Aussie V8s.
Models in 1:43 are more collectable. I have around 250 at the moment.
A 1:43 model i'd buy and maybe do some 1:60/64 ones for young children :)
Definitely buy a model whatever scale it was in!
