NZ Targa 2025 is being run 15-19th October, 2025. The 30th anniversary event has been hampered by landslides, floods and torrential rain the day before the event commenced, which have cut off roads.
1 stage cancelled on Wednesday 15th, 4 stages cancelled on Thursday 16th, could be 4 again on Friday.

Saturday was a better day with all 7 stages being run to varying degrees.
Action started before the first stage with the overnight 3rd placed car's driver not being able to find the keys for the car #640 Porsche, before the start. The keys were located when the field had moved off.
Later this may have unfortunately contributed to the car #640 leaving the road 2/3rds of the way into the day's first stage. Fortunately, the crew was ok.
Two other experienced competitors went off, one in the days' 3rd stage and another in the 6th stage. Both crew reported ok.
The 7th stage was interrupted near the end after 2/3rds of the competitive field had been through.
Sunday's 7 stages have been run with a few final day dropouts.
This year's 2025 Targa NZ was won by the Australian crew of Paul Dowie and John Allen in a Porsche GT3 RS (5 hours six minutes & 5.5 seconds). They were a minute clear (1.16.3) clear of Dave Rogers & Shane Reynolds in a Targa spec Mitsubishi Evo X. Third went to the NZ veterans Charlie Evans & Carol Liston - RX7.

Bay of Plenty Round of the 2025 NZRC highlights video. A close battle between the regular contenders at the top. Darker than expected by most competitors on the opening stage followed by dust on the next stage. A significant distance of the event was run in the Matahina Forest, that was last used 20 years ago in the International Rally of Rotorua era.
https://youtu.be/dGjpvC6tSug?si=aXjTDFBlbChcjyUI
NZRC podium for the rally was R Stokes, B Hunt and J Stokes.
Paddon was tyre testing during the overall event and had the lowest time followed by Mike Young in 2nd.

tnx! i checked yesterday for rd 5 highlights, there was nothing yet, i thought "maybe in november" haha nice
nzrc production is really good, i wish erc & rally america were all more like that on the highlights package.
idk how they get the money to do that, since its a small championship, but congrats on them. years following this series like that. shame the aussie championship is not putting out their good highlights anymore too =/

Final round of the 2025 NZRC this week. 7th -9th November. The Vertex Oil International Rally of Whangarei will be held over 2 days and 18 stages. Day 1 - Saturday 8th,a long day run west and south west further out of Whangarei are 10 stages. 5 gravel road stages (3 repeated) and a super special (Pohe Island) run and repeated in the evening. Day 2 - Sunday 9th is run south west but closer to Whangarei. 8 stages which are 4 gravel road stages repeated.
If these stages are like some of the stages used in the past for local rallies & international rallies, this could be a memorable event.

Changes before Rally of Whangarei. Robbie Stokes had his result at Bay of Plenty changed to excluded. Ben Hunt has a significant points lead prior to Whangarei.
