Mr Alca-Tazizzle, I hope you feel better soon. :) Although to a much lesser degree I felt your pain this summer when I was riding my bike and a taxi overtook and immediately turned left into me. Going head and face first into the ground at 20mph is not recommended by myself. :( Hope you are back on your feet and get your scooter fixed soon. :)

No, in this country we don't arrest people for being Morons (it's the morons doing the arresting ;) ). He was declared to be sober, simply claimed "he didn't notice that the lights had changed", and never saw me, but more importantly, he is fully insured. There was no malice of intent on his behalf, but when everything comes out in the wash, this event will likely give him enough points to lose his license for a while unless he has an otherwise spotless record which I seriously doubt.Quote:

That is sad to read. I hope your recovery is swift and not overly painful. If you're on painkillers make sure you drink a lot of liquids (not alcohol) to prevent constipation.
You can bet the idiot that ran the light had done it before. Do you have camera's on your traffic lights? If you have you will probably get a decent settlement which of course is secondary to your health.

This one does not have any cameras, but when the sheriff’s investigator visited me at the hospital he said that the Public Transit Bus behind me has one that was running as well as the two businesses on the side of the street where it happened. They told me it will take three weeks until they present an official; report.
