Thanks guys. Last March we were in Greece and she slipped on a slick floor and gave her head quite a knock. In May she was still feeling some effects and got a cat scan and an MRI. Turned out she had a subdural hematoma (blood between the inside of her skull and her brain). Earlier this month the neurosurgeon had her get another cat scan and it was getting bigger so they had to operate, which consisted to boring two holes in her skull and flushing out the blood and relieving the pressure. She's doing pretty good. Off getting her finger nails and toe nails tended to today. I'm glad we had this great neurosurgeon, I think she was walking around with a time bomb in her head.
Glad to hear that she is doing fine.
Tell her that if a dumb forum member friend of yours can get through brain surgery that her odds are great.
About 18 months ago I had brain surgery. my brain had some holes in the temporal bone and it was leaking brain fluid. They opened me up, cut some of the temporal bone, ground it and used it to patch the holes. Then they lifted up the brain and inserted some titanium mesh underneath it. An then kinda packed some stuff all around the mesh.
Wow Muggle, that sounds pretty serious. Glad you're doing well.
