We all bid against each other anyway.
I have been outbid by one member on this forum twice this week, only for neither of us to win the items anyway.
To be honest though, i never look for the Aussie models, just sometimes stumble upon them.
Yeah sorry about that DAZ90.
Pipped at the post on both occassions last one to someone from Taiwan (and I left it to the last minute).
No hard feelings at all, i set my top price and kept to it.
Just dont do it again ;)
Just thought i would bring this one back from the dead!
Just got a cracking Aussie model last week.. Not quite a V8 Supercar. But in it's day it was the best Aussie car around.
Won the championship for Dick Johnson in 1984!

Picture doesn't do it justice!
Bringing this thread back from the dead again. Watching Bathurst has re-ignited my interest in V8 models. I've found a seller on eBay that'll ship 1/43s to here for £18-20 roughly. This could get messy!
The shipping will be 20 quid ish? how much for the model? your right though it could get very messy lol!
I have found Australian sellers vary from 5 Oz dollars to 30 Oz dollars.
I will say everything has arrived and nothing has been damaged..
One tip though. Allways buy single models. All my multiple buys have been hit by customs charges. The seller has to notify customs how much has been paid for the the parcel... the higher the price the more you pay in charges!
No it's £20 all in for a model and postage. That's a good tip Peter, I'll bear that in mind.Quote:

I've got my eye on the Mark Skaife/John Cleland Bathurst Commodore from 1996 in 1/18th, but not until I can afford it!
