donny dont understand what your on about sligo been chaos i live there and i never saw the place calmer there would be more chaos on a normal weekend the police did a brilliant job on traffic management.park and ride is never the done thing here and the walk into the stages is no greater than you would have in rally gb
I meant there were so many cars and people that it was absolutely impossible to park or get into Sligo in a car, other than that I think it was perfect.
I didn't mind walking into the stage except for the fact that by the time when we arrived Gronholm had already crashed and the stage was canceled, but that's hardly the rally's fault. I still think the Park & Ride service was slow and expensive though.
there was a couple of bus opperators got haned the job of the park and rides these people were given the rite to run the service and rallyireland then had no more part in the service so alot of the opperators tryed to fleece people and many of them got burned and it was good enough for them
RI seemed to washed their hands of the sorrid affair during and after the event. On the day when it was going pear shaped, the Gardai were great trying to firefight the situation.Quote:

Ireland features in my 2009 wish-list...it's the easiest foreign rallys to get to for starters! It's not any harder to get to than events in the north of England...apart from the ferry of course ;)
