Re: News from France
Been to le Touquet today. Seen 4 stages (which wasn't so easy to manage this time). Seen some nice action. Great drive from Maurin, it's impressive how much he improved over the years. Gilbert was driving very well for a debut with a proper WRC. It looks like Brunson was struggling to learn the car. But towards the last stages he became clearly faster. Concerning one-make cups in France I think the competition level dropped a bit this year, comparing to the last few seasons. Looks like some drivers moved on to another level or are out of fundings...
Jukka Korhonen was very impressive for me, very fast and spectacular (maybe a bit too spectacular). Although for being a driver from the North, his driving style is quite clean (except for the video below), I'm hoping to see more from him this year. :)
Small video from Korhonen, made by a friend: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28GPOpnrEXE

Take a look of 208 Rally Cup drivers Jaro Kinnunen / Mikael Korhonen onboard compilation from the last weekends stages. Have to mention, that this was 1st ever tarmac rally for Jaro.

Been to Rallye Terre des Causses last week. Amazing event! Very nice stages, and a great competition over there. In the "top-class" the amount of entries wasn't bad, but what made us go there was the presence of the 208 Cup and the DS3 Trophy, and the fact that it is a proper gravel rally (in Belgium we don't have proper gravel rallies). The competition level in the cups (especially 208 cup this year and last year) is extremely high, if you can win there, you must have the potential to win on international level as well. Very nice drive from our Belgian Cedric Cherain. I hope he continues in the trophy (it's not completely sure since he's doing a Belgian campaign with Fiesta R5 too now). @Jeppe: very nice progression from Jaro Kinnunen! Shame I didn't have time to bring a visit in the service park, I'll try to meet next time.
