Kopecky is beating all czech "old" WRC machinery on every event where he starts. Also Pech was doing the same with Mini...

You are right Pluto but it is much more complicated case (You know what I mean, Kopecky in factory Skoda and Pech for around 20 years in Czech championship and all WRC in CZ being half-dead) Ask yourself, would Kopecky in R5 or Pech in his Mini RRC beat Kostka in C4 WRC? That is the real question. And honestly, I don´t know the answer. Anyway no need to argue. We both understand each other. You are definitely right.
And then,who bought Vaclav Pech´s Mini ?
Season in Croatia is due to start in 3 weeks (4. & 5. of March). More than 60 crews at this time, the entries will close in 26. of February. It is a sprint rally, but very spectator friendly with SS's on walking distance from service park and start/finish ramp.

Grössing will be the second driver in the austrian championship, who will drive a Fiesta WRC this year.
Spanish ASN outlawed 911’s in tarmac championship but (fortunately) still allows N+ Evo’s and Impreza’s at gravel series. 2 Evo’s in front of 3 R5’s on this year CERT opening event Rallye Tierras Altas de Lorca. http://www.atodomotor.com/contenidos...FinalLorca.pdf

Christian Riedemann will use the first round of the Dutch championship to get to know his 208 R5 better.
Also Dennis Kuipers is on the list of the Zuiderzee Rally (former Tank S Rally).
Spectacular video of first Valoušek's test with Fabia R5: https://www.facebook.com/MMRallyTeam...8271786930557/
He says in the video that this isn't test for Eger but to learn the car as Eger is different than this road (quite obviously). Eger will be the first rally for him. As a bonus watch the smile of the co-driver on onboards :p
With 911's being severely restricted (the only remaining Porsche driver is Burgo), the R5 fever is now starting on Spain tarmac championship (CERA). Besides RMC Fiesta's (Ares, Aguado and Perez), former Porsche champion Sergio Vallejo announced his comeback to the series on a DS3 (from portuguese Sports&You team). ARVidal has one Fabia available to rent.
Mitsubishi (throught RMC) is backing GrN+ (36mm R4 with seq gearbox) drivers Garcia (Canarias winner) and Monarri. ARVidal is running 2 Swift S1600 for Suzuki. The 2 top spanish tuners are also developing N5 (MR) cars, but regs were'nt still closed by RFEA.
Like I’ve said in another topic, Gt’s should be restricted but there was no need to undermine them this way.
CERA it’s a long and expensive series and R5’s running costs almost double 911’s. It won’t be easy to get the same number of regular title contenders as past years. Let’s wait and hope for the best.

Results Rebenland Rallye, starting today in the early afternoon: http://results.rebenland-rallye.at/2016/index.htm
Ir7.at released video from first day and from the very first few shots you can see Neubauer has fast car and is not afraid to use it . The difference between him and Mundl is visible by "naked" eye. ...but that was obvious even before I told you so :D
Grössing is more like a gentleman-driver, whereas Neubauer has started his most important season.

Only 3 SS to go on Rallye Villa de Adeje (Spain/Canarias champs).
Like last week, Cruz in the unrestricted 911 is the overall leader, ahead of Garcia Evo N+. Garcia leads the spanish field 47s ahead of Ares Fiesta R5 and more than 1m on Burgo restricted 911.
Monzon in a Mini WRC was the first overall leader but retired with a broken axle shaft (strangely his times are no longer visible).

Do they have smaller restrictor than FIA R-GT cars? Dumas had 390 Hp with FIA restrictor.
EDIT: Afaik Dumas had 4.0 liter.
Burgos 911 isnt a 3,8 liter?
It's done. Another fine win for Garcia in RMC's Evo N+, 43s ahead of Ares R5 Fiesta and 1m29s in front of Burgo 911 (3.8l/41.2mm). Overall and Canarias champ win for Cruz, in his unrestricted 3.8 911 (ex Vallejo car), more than 1m ahead of Garcia.
There is no official power numbers about '16 restricted 911's, but RFEA aim was to put 3.8 models (based in 2010 cup cars) close to 400hp with the 41.2mm restrictor. It seems they've done it, as most of former 911's drivers claim a loss of 50 to 60 hp (the previous power estimation was a bit over 450hp).
But the major complain doesn't came from max power loss but the way restrictor use affects power delivery, making the car less effective and more difficult to drive. Comparing Burgo's and Cruz's fastest times on the 2 Canarias rounds, it's clear that '16 restricted car looses more than 1s/km.
3.6 models (based in 2008 cup cars) also got a 40.8mm restrictor, and even if max power came closer to 2010 cars and they weight 20kg less (1250/1270), their chassis was always considered less efficient.

Congrats to Hermann Neubauer and Simon Wagner!
Big congrats to Mr.Neubauer! He deservs this victory-it is an important step for his career.
I had a pleasure to witness four stages in live and all I can say : Neubauer was atacking all time, he was very agressive, braking late...on the other I can not say same for Mundl and Grossing. Speaking for Grössing-did anybody notice that his Fiesta sounded different compare to Neubauer's??
Second one who impressed me-Böhm with small Opel Adam!
Overall very nice event, perfect weather, not a lot of spectators.....
Next event-Lavantal rally. I expect total attack from Baumschlager. Now he is a hunter....
Maximilian Koch excluded.
I think this was one of the most important rallies of Neubauers´career. Yes, Baumschlager will attack to the max next time.
Why was Koch excluded?
so more than 1sec/km the restricted from unrestricted 911s.
Restricted ones with circa 350 bhp looses at dry tarmac asphalt from N+ with 350 bhp and more weight.
about the ''different way to drive'' the restricted ones, nothing new.Same applies for every car.If you drive a restricted 350bhp evo with an unrestricted 350bhp evo is different.
Now we will see who have the guts.Because with 120 bhp more plenty thought that they had ''guts'' and they were heroes. No more winners at straights with the huge power advantage.
Welcome to reality.
