Hirvonen set some good times in Monte-Carlo (not his faveorie rally), and he is expected to be one of the favorites for the win in Sweden.

Very disappointed with the early demise of JML in Monte Carlo - the worst possible start to the season for him if he has any hope of challenging Loeb. He MUST win in Sweden and hope others can take points off Loeb or else he can forget it.

On the plus side for Ford, it was an outstanding MC debut for Petter in the Fiesta, showing both real pace and saying he felt very comfortable in the car: "I never dreamed of having a car as good as this, and to be able to attack on the stages like I have is unbelievable" "This is just fantastic – I just love driving this car, it is unbelievably fast, and they say it is even faster on snow and gravel! It is so easy getting into rhythm with the car, and then the rest is just fun! Can’t wait to do Sweden next!"

It could well be that he will the nearest Ford driver to taking on Loeb this year.

Sweden's result will be very important to the chances of a competitive season ahead...

i am very surprised that some mates like Petters performance at Monte.Did they have noticed that he is almost 3 minutes behind leader,while leader was in safe mode for 2 days?Meanwhile he(Petter) was fighting last 2 days for podium?
