Eight (in eight) 911 win in Spain. In Rallye Villa de Llanes it was Vallejo time, but only in last stage he was able to get in front of Perez (Fiesta R5). Fuster came 3rd with his 911 and has become spanish champion (for the 5th time).

Who in Austria is able to find enough money for 1.6T WRC? Those are pretty expensive cars and as far as I recall nearly all Austrian drivers have been crying about their budgets.

That's true. But Mirek you forget the first Thinge austrian drivers are complaining about, the" dominance of Baumschlager." They think, that they can beat Baumschlager with a new WRC in an one off, but forget, that they won't be able to handle such a car if they aren't driving it regulary. So Mundl accepts it, because he knows he will Beat them also with aWRC.

Congrats to both 911 drivers, Vallejo as a winner and of course, Fuster, who is a national champion. Porsche all the way......
So, R5 drivers still need some ''meat'' to eat.....

What i found is that Hermann Neubauer as well as Gerwald Groessing both already gave statements in Newspapers that they want to drive a 1.6 WRC if they are allowed. Maybe some "Gentleman Drivers" with big wallet also take the step to have some fun. Also it looks like 2.0l WRCs will be allowed as well as several other previously banned classes in future like GT Porsche. Generally open the Championship should be a good Thing.

The funny side of the story for his opponents would be if Baumschlager himself then switches to WRC too :)

It's good thing for spectators but it's definitely wrong thing from sporting point of view. You can never make competition better by abandoning equal rules for everybody and go for a set of rules where each driver on top of the leaderboad may use car built and run according to different regulations. Baumschlager is an old man and if younger guys are not able to defeat him in a straight fight using cars under same regulations than it says quite a lot about them and their skills.

Until now there is no final announcement of the regulations 2016. Best is to wait and see what is officially announced at the end of october / beginning of november. With no Jänner Rallye in 2016, the winter break is 2.5 months longer until first round at Rebenland Rallye (March 18th - 19th).

You will see what it brings. As You may know we have here in CZ old WRC cars allowed. It definitely made the events nicer for spectators but on the other hand I think that it brought on top a lot of rich gentleman drivers while there is nobody young and promising using WRC car.

It´s not (only) about skills, it´s more about economy and budget in my opinion. Baumschlager was the only driver, who has been able to build a business around rallying, and even this was a work of years. So now he´s the only one who can afford a structure similar to a works team, with big potent sponsors like Skoda Austria, Red Bull and Remus behind him.

Except for Grössing, I don´t think anyone could afford a WRC-car in Austria. Even Neubauer has to deal with an old Fiesta S2000, who is already rather prone to technical failures.

Can't see how admitting cars twice more expensive than R5 can solve that.

When I saw Neubauer's car during Barum I was thinking that it really didn't look well. It looked worn and used a lot. You could see they had lack of money on other things too. For example the box for spare parts was all rusty.

After Jänner Rallye also Waldviertel Rallye, Austria´s other big rally, part of ERT, seems in jeopardy. Organizer Helmut Schöpf wrote in an Austrian rally forum, that he didn´t register Waldviertel Rallye 2016 neither at FIA nor at Austrian motorsport organization OSK.

These are no final calenders. Just registrations at ASN for the Moment. There is still plenty of time to Register Waldviertel Rallye for 2016 even after this years Event. Don't judge too early...

Now its official, the regulations for 2016 Austrian Championship have been released: World Rallye Cars are back in austrian Championship for 2016. 1.6l cars as well as old 2.0l WRCs

GTC Rally in the Netherlands is on his way. 6 stages done. Jasper vd Heuvel leads with the Evo X R4, second Hans Weijs jr with Fiesta R5 on 1 second :)

Next year WRC cars 2.0 l and 1.6 l are allowed in Austrian championship able to score full points.

Unfortunately Waldviertel Rallye really is in jeopardy says his organizer in an Austrian rally forum. He seems tired, let´s see.

Weijs wins in the end. Nice fight, but won with about 18 seconds advantage!
Probably a N4 than Fly, sorry just thought he was driving an R4 ;)
