Well, just looked on stcc.se and here's another picture, the front bumper looks a little different from the regular E46's.
Yeh. The wheel arches are different to the later E46'sQuote:

These arches...

They look like the 2002 spec cars.

I see what you mean about the bumper!

Just spotted this on another forum...
From someone going under the name of TCS! (Touring Car Spares)
Hi , This post has been drawn to my attention and so to clarify , yes Jim Pocklington has bought the ex Edenbridge Justin Keen /Kevin Clarke car , Wilbos's car ( the ex Michael Bentwood car ) has been sold and was closer to a BTC-P Production car than the S-2000 spec BMW that J-Team intend to field in the 2007 BTCC ! Although a couple of years old , this car represents a good value entrant and hopefully after its additional seasons of development , a quick one , although only time will tell .
A purpose built website will detail the cars and teams progress but for now my site will have some info on the front page and maybe a few pics once the livery is fuly sorted ,
Cheers .
So, that looks like another entry for this year!
thats an interesting potential entry, who is this Jim Pocklington guy, is he any good, and what chance is there of the old BMW being on the S2000 pace, i would imagine the necessary upgrades required to get it up to the spec of at least Martyn Bells cars ought to be readily available, if the cash is available of course.
BMW's are slowly taking over the grid it seems, glad to see that not everyone shares the view that they are unsuitable for British tracks and therefore an uncompetitive option.
if this entry comes off we could have at least 5 BMW's of various specs and models, and potentially a couple more have been rumoured
Mark Smith won't be in the BTCC this year, unless he's buying/bought a new car, which I doubt. His 2006 Alfa is for sale in Autosport this week.
You were adamant he was confirmed the other week. :p :
He could be hedging his bets, like BTC Racing advertising one of their Lexus IS200s in Autosport over Christmas.Quote:

So Turkington is Independent champion then
Or Gareth Howell
Or Gareth's team-mate!Quote:

Now this is going to sound very very bizarre, but I swear it's true. As I was walking through my local shopping centre earlier, I saw someone who I recognised and he was wearing a cap with CNR on it. I looked closer as I walked past him and it said 'Colin Neill Racing'. I just assumed he was talking to someone, but as I came back past again 5 minutes later, I found he was trying to sell Candis magazines! I'm certain it was him, as he was wearing the cap in this picture below and I recognised him from photos.

Is this him trying to desperately gain funds for Clyde Valley Racing or what?

u lot may have seen this but i just found it
Wow, yeah, I see what you mean Russel Crow in the BTCC...
Coll compute riamges of the Chevvy to.
Yep that was definitely him I saw yesterday. That's the clearest photo I've seen of him and I'm convinced. What an odd place for a prospective BTCC team boss to be!
so me finding that could mean that he will be in the chevy then ???(ok good chance )
Not really, that's quite an old page with the computer-generated image of the car that's been going around since last summer.
Perhaps the magazine wants to sponsor him, so long he delivers a few, oops, I'm still in Cloud Cuckoo Land :crazy:Quote:

When done, I had abried chat with him, complimented him on his season in the Clios last year, then has asked "So you support team RAC then?" "Well, err, actually last year I followed Team Dynamics"
half page article from Colin Neil of Clyde Valley in this morning's scottish daily record saying about how he will be running chevvy's in the BTCC and how he is looking for scottish business to come and join him. Hmmmm as TDB and others have said no cars, no transporter and no money. is this guy John B&Q in disguise... correction John B&Q actually went racing LOL
Here is that article:Quote:

of course Colin Neil could be getting new cars built by RML dont know where he is getting the money from
RML says thay sold 2 cars to a uk buyer but thats all thay have ever said and not given any clues ever .
i think untill the media day we will not know if he talking the .... or he realy did have it all sorted
Let's wait 'till TDB can tell us who bought those Chevrolets as he knows best and has contacts in RML :)
When did they sell them?Quote:

Banbury [Prodrive, Triple 8] isn't far from Oxford.
A lot of teams are close to Oxford. Seat is in Northampton. VXR is there. I would eat my hat if Rydell ever turned up in the BTCC again. Although it would be amazing if he did.
i would love to see rydell back he was ace in the volvo! and would like to see him in a volvo once more
didnt he admit once that he was close to signing a deal with MG ifor the 2003 season. I remebr he saying something about the car and the good chaissie, and Im sure it wasn't warren hughes before anyone asks
If he's still waiting for that deal to come off 4 years later, maybe someone should tell him that they went bust a long time ago!
