Just a little info really, I had sent an email to IXO about their SEAT models and they are planning BTCC and WTCC Leons in the near future! RESULT! :) :D
Thats awesome news if it happens. It's about time there were some more new BTCC cars on sale. Shouldn't be too hard for IXO to make, seeing as they have the base model already.Quote:

Sorry guys.. It is now only £15.99!
I have ordered mine.

I've ordered mine too!!
Did you get your 10% discount?
No, i've already been on the phone once to them though to add the Onslow-Cole one and save the extra P&P, so asking for this too would be pushing my luck lol!
Thanks for the heads up, have ordered mine too!Quote:

Ordered both of mine as well. Thanks Peter for the heads up!
Ordered the cars yesterday afternoon - have received them this morning! is that impressive or what...?!
I'm another grateful person for the link. I ordered both yesterday at 11:30 and they arrived today at 13:45. Super fast delivery.
I have finally started to build my kit of the 2000 BTCC Mondeo, the building is done, just the decals now :(
did you buy the pre-painted kit?
Yes I bought the pre painted one, didn't fancy painting it my self as it seems a bit too complicated for me.Quote:

Sal.
York must be full of Yorkshire-Scots lol as I work with a McArthur and he's as tight as a gnats chuff :-)
Question - how difficult is it if you wanted you make your own car, you had the base model, paint and decals..?
All down to your personal ability and to what degree of detail you are looking for?
But most of all, before you start, you must have the confidence to do it!
Like said you have to have the confidence to take it on or do a bit at a time and not rush itQuote:

Have a look at some I have done
http://www.model-motorsport.co.uk
Takes a bit of time to load and you will need adobe flash player 10 to view it
If you haven't done it before the it may be worth practising on other models first before attempting to start a model you really want to do. I've only making my own cars for just over a year and still not that great yet (so it will be a while before I start the 95 Cleland car!). My first models were 1/43 Revell Le Mans cars that came in a pack as they were cheap and didn't matter if I did them wrong (learnt quite a few lessions that way)
Best tip I got (PDS I think!) is don't rush it, a good model could take a few months before it's finished.
I've just finished spraying the 1st coat on 6 body shells tonight!
Also I now have 2 kits that are surplus to requirements (1993 Watts Mazda and 1994 Primera) PM me if anyone is interested.
What a rip-off!
Just seen on e-bay. Some 'buy it now' sellers have the RAC BMW's listed for £60... I hope they are no one on here!
It pays to buy direct.. £15.99

My Volvo rally model I built, but would love to see a C30 compete in the BTCC and models made if such a car was done

Just got around to adding my last 6 models to Flickr.
The 2 2007 RAC models, 1991 Prodrive BMW's of Soper & Sugden, 1992 Sudgen BMW and 1993 Watts Mazda

Just to let everyone know that might be interested, Corgi are releasing Chris Hodgetts Ford from '85 i think.
Been informed that HPI are planning to model the Alfa 155's and Volvo estates from the BTCC in 1/43 which might bring the prices of the Minichamps versions down..
Yes they were announced a while ago..
Not sure they will keep the minichamp price too low though, as the HPI models are £50 each! http://www.trax-models.co.uk/index.p...ewCat&catId=82
There is a more up-to date BTCC model due out within the next couple of months that will be worth waiting for...
Forgive my ignorence, but what is this one then?Quote:

PDS - would that be RAC (Spark) releasing some newer BMW's?
Or the Motorbase BMW you have a picture of???
I see Peter is doing his usual small snippet to get us excited but still actually revealing nothing!!!
Is it the Spark BMW's (as per VX1054)? Is that worth waiting for as there isn't that much of a difference with the ones released.
Is it an Oxford Vectra? There models aren't the best to be really excited for.
I'm hoping we will finally have a BTCC Seat Leon.
Come on Peter either tell us or don't say anything at all, I can't handle the smoke and mirrors anymore from you!!!! :arrows:
Please dont leave us hanging like this please!
