you cannot enter the stage from the start... you have to park in a designated spot and then go to the stage but you can walk up and down to find a better spot than the usual generic hairpin where all the sheep are gathered.

Excuse NOT , did not mean to go from the start , but go park in a public place and then go on the road outside public places and then be able to find my own place . Is there enough time to be an hour before it starts , or how crowded it is (considering parking , queues etc ? ) ?
It sounds absolutely perfect so just to start planning for 2015 then!
Thanks for the help!
This is the effect of seeing JML flat-out in the forest !! :D

Friday we did Sweet Lamb, watching from the fast approach between a hairpin left and the water splash and in the afternoon the stage finish, getting a close look at the cars and the hard work of all the marshalls.
Saturday was Aberhirnant where we found 2 good spots at a fast, downhill section. Meeke was very sideways into view, and Kubica wide, showering me with rocks! Loved the night stage!
Sunday was alright, but a bit of a downer as I hope to watch from the water side at Brenig, but the marshalls were having none of it. I am glad to see some people managed to get through! The highlight was watching the TV chopper barely flying 20-30ft above the ground, some of the angles were insane, those boys are brave! Shame that Marty McCormak's Fiestas engine failed infront of us in the afternoon, another 30k down the drain according to him.
One thing that royally pissed me off was the amount of litter left behind by ignorant scum. The mess after Aberhirnant was beyond a joke and must have taken ages to be tidied up.
Still great rally, looking forward to the 2015 season now!
Agree with you on the rubbish! Between the WRC runs in Dyfi I returned to my car, and there were 3 vans of lads together in a group in front of me. They decided to go off to another stage for the afternoon, and opened the back doors on one of the vans and floored it, and all there rubbish fell out. I asked if they were going to remove it and just got a lot of verbal abuse! Was nice to see though, as the event ended, 4/5 official people bagging all the rubbish up.
Some of my images from the 1st pass through Dyfi on Day 1.

Probably one of the best Wales Rally I have been so far. We did shakedown, Gartheniog 1/2, Clocaenog Main 1/2 and Brenig 1/2.
Seb Ogier and Jari-Matti were clearly a step ahead everyone else in day 1, shame that the battle didn't last long. After that Seb's driving was visibly very safe.
An incident that was not mentioned anywhere AFAIK: In Clocaenog Main 1 we were standing in a fast downhill left were Latvala had a 4th/5th gear spin (he didnt have the rear wing). He was very lucky that a big run-away area exist in the middle of the turn where he stopped backwards, otherwise it would have been a big crash.
Safety in Brenig stage was ridiculous, almost the whole stage was full of marshals and the spectator areas were miles away from the stage. Luckily with the help of some kind marshals we sneaked in the forest and enjoyed some nice spots! Other than that, marshals were really cool this year.
I hope to post some photos soon.
I had the same problem in Brenig too, they tried to stop us but we just ignored them and kept walking. Tried giving no us the old 'we'll cancel the stage' nonsense. Don't think they realised that i'm out on a rally neary every weekend, and not a once a year speccy.
arrived 2 hours before first car in breing and was not left cross the road by the marshalls..but to be fair the marshals couldn't see sense in not leaving people cross etheir but they had been told not too

Haha, rallycross? Dorks.
Rally, Rallycross, Globular Rally-cross in a parking lot, its all the same... You have to learn how to have the right attitude.. Trust me!
Now the first step is to learn to say in a very nasal accent---(you can hold your nose if you can't do the flat nasal monotone of a 15 year old from LA) say
"Like.....whateverrr" (work on the final 'r', its R not like the Pmmies turn it into a 'ah" sound)
For more emphasis, say "Like whatever DOOOOOD!"
Its all the same to promotional folks, they spend millions promoting, they can butcher the sport and the poor bastids name it if they want.
Don't you remember back in 2007 where Red Bull sponsored rally GOD Travis Pastrami was "2007 World rally Champion"?

From motorsport monday for wgb rally.
M.H What about the new possibility of public road closure.will that enable you to join adjacent forest stages together to make more competitive sections?
A.K Thats what we will be looking at if the new legislation comes through.we already close roads in the forests,in remote areas, for rally gb to control the spectator traffic so we dont clogged up but we have no right to remove the speed limit.
I know they use private roads for the rally but i thought they were using also public roads.from what i read i understand that they use ony private roads right?this is also the rule for every rally in the island?what he means when he says they cant remove speed limits??
the only rally that uses public roads is the Jim Clark rally i think... if the new legislation passes it will be good for the sport here, about the speed limits currently they use public roads for spectator traffic and to connect stages between them that is why they cannot remove speed limits due to the law, witht he new legislation they will be able to lift those limits and use those connecting roads as special stages as well.... i think.
Under the laws of England, Wales and Scotland you can close a road but all the road traffic laws still apply. So speed limits & laws about driving with due care stop you from rallying or racing. There is even a specific law against "racing on the public highway". The organisers of the Jim Clark Rally and the Tour of Mull each applied to Parliament for special local laws to let them suspend the road traffic laws so they could run their rallies. This took a long time and cost the events a lot of money which is why no other events have tried. The new legislation will allow organisers of rallies, sprints, hillclimbs or races to apply to the local authorities to close roads and suspend the road traffic laws for motorsport in the same way that roads on the Isle of Man and in Ireland can be closed. There are already plans to run some closed road asphalt stage rallies. Organisers of gravel stage rallies in the forests are looking at new stages that will cross public roads linking two short stages in a forest to make one longer stage.
So until now asphalt rallies or hillclimbs didnt take place in U.K?
