Re: WRC3 Advanced Physics Mod - just released!
I just tried one stage (Argentina) with the advanced physics mod, and I can't believe the difference! We are talking close to Richard Burns Rally quality now! Need to dial down the FFB from where I had it before though.

What do you guys think about this mod then?
I'm going to download this tomorrow..
Is it near RBR as the comment say?
Is there any difference between the cars as before with this mod?
Thank you EC Sim hardware!!
I like the mod. It Is suggested for rally sim gamers only (RBR fans Included!) Others will find It Impossible to control the car
and finish a single stage In a competitive time (or without a crash or exit at all!). The breaking distance has been Increased, steering Is much more sensitive, better feel of the car's weight, lot of powersliding and drifting too. Forget high speeds In twisty sections. And when you are driving fast on open stages, It would be very difficult (or Impossible In some cases) to correct any mistake. This mod Is extremely punishing and requires much more technical driving. To bad for console players, this one Is for pc only... Overall, I think It's the most sim version of WRC3 so far. Good work to all Involved!
Thanks LCD. It seems to be very intresting! Nice!!
Wow just had quick go on france with this mod took a few goes to adjust to the whole new setup and what can i say its much more sim like no more flat out makes you more cautious which i love only downside so far if you do run off track its so slippery you just rev up though all the gears trying to get back on, to thumbs up from me (a massive RBR fan)well done to EC Sim hardware good job a great game just got a whole lot better!!!!!!!
I cant steer normally with this mod, its like an offroad jeep with all diffs locked.
Actually you can't steer easily on higher speeds, right? It's easier on low speed Isn't It?Quote:

Is it possible to adjust the steering rotation with this mod? I adjusted it in the Logitech profiler to 362 degrees but in the game I have the full 900. It is impossible to drive like that.
I'v tried the new EC Sim physics mod now and I can only agree with eightgear. It's almost impossible to drive I think.
It feels like it is a 900• degrees wheelrotation... Not good.
Because of that I really can't say anything about how good the mod is sadly!
I hope EC Sim read this and can change this??
I wounder when a update to this game will come??? I can't understand why it take so much time... Boring to wait all this time and Mileston is so ****ing bad on tell the fans what's happening!! Not a word...
That Italians for you... No offence Pino!

???
I agree we need an update on this to fix the problems and like you said no word on how long we the customers have to wait, they have an update button on the launcher that link to there website (which is rubbish) with no info what so ever.Quote:

I think the game is okey but I dont like the "easy made" championship mode... It's no content in there who make the championship intresting. The Road to glory is the whole game I think and that sucks.. It's like a bad replica of the boring Dirt 3 game!
The stages is not fun anymore because they repet themselves all the time...
And then the total lack of communication with their customers... Thats sad and if Codemasters will make a real rally game in Dirt 4 as the rumors says, then Milestone really needs to step up BIG TIME.
Really don't get It...What more should the championship mode have, to be more 'Interesting' for you?Quote:

Do you mean, service park after 2-3 stages? Or some podium footage after finishing each country? Or a special video award after finishing the whole championship? All those would Indeed be nice additions but wouldn't really change the actual meaning of the championship....
I think dynamic weather, night stages, unique special stages and staggered starts would really give some points to the championship mode.
But I guess those will feature In WRC4 anyway ;) Have fun with WRC3 as Is Is...It's been radically Improved and following a very right direction, regarding stages design and physics :)
So lazy those italians...arent they ? ;)Quote:

What I want more...
You said it yourself! ;)
Played the full game for the first time this evening and have to say I'm impressed. Started a career with Henning, full difficulty on the PS3 and did Monte and have to say it was fun. Few too many repeat sections for my liking, but if this trajectory continues this WRC4 may finally be the game we've always wanted!
Hi all,
I'm new here, but a huge fan of motorsport & rallying in general.
I just bought the WRC3 PC game, and am looking for enthusiasts / people who like to play on the multiplayer :)
I use the xfire (xfire.com) instant messenger and steam (steampowered.com), with the username "imafrenchie" on each messenger... if anyone here has the game, feel free to give me a shout! For those of you who've yet to buy it or are on the fence, it's fantastic and the most realistic rally game I've ever played!
Cheers
Welcome to the forum CgFrench. Glad you like the game
I did a world record time on Comanjilla yesterday: 2:53.96
This is a sad company... No updates, not patch, no nothing... I had a better feeling about Milestone but this sucks... Are they building a whole new game as a update!?!?!
That would be the only thing who is accepted when it takes a great deal of time!!!!
Codemasters realise updates all the time...
Milestone - start to take care of your fans or you will never succeed. I even see that the reviews about this game is cold, not that good! Shape up!
Maybe after the release of the game they go on holidays.... No?
I am really stuck in the career mode! That Luchini in Greece I have to overtake, aaargh I've tried a dozen times! Could somebody take my save file, do the task and then send it back to me? Here's the address:
http://www.megafileupload.com/en/fil.../Saves-7z.html
Why don't you lower the difficulty AI level so to pass this event?
I thought his drive is "fixed" and the difficulty slider applies only when I race alone against the clock. Anyway, I appeared to be wrong and passed it very easily. Thanx for the idea!
The only issue is the game release here in Australia! 29th of NOV!!! You can get the game already in NZ! Why does it take so long to get it in Aus?! I go to shops and they say no game but some orders for it!!! Might try to buy from NZ. I'm missing out!
eu.wrc3-shop.com/qte.html?REF=755448 can you not buy it here? It's just a download.
Xbox 360 version for PAL
And no download for Mac.
I like to play on TV :D
Milestone made an update for the Adroid and iPhone version of the game earlier this week (!!!!!!). What a marketing wise useless choice to prioritize a game that is out for free instead of those who have purchased their games. It's running one and a half month since release now, an still no update...
I think the patch for pc/consoles will fix quite a lot of things, so we must be patient.

Couple of questions guys:
1- Does the game have leaderboards?
2- I own both PS3 and Xbox, what copy shall I get?
3- can you suggest a gaming driving wheel that can be used for both PS3 and Xbox, something not that expensive.
On other note, couple of pages back I saw a link to VVV article about WRC3 and Dirt 3, at the end of article there was a speculation that Dirt 4 will be more rally sim. I have played wrc 2010, it was ok game, and reading about the WRC career mode feedback from you guys, says it lacks some interactions, like service park, shakedown, and other features that may make it more sim, will this made me in doubt for getting the game! so what do you think about that speculation, as I remember playing CMR in my Pentium PC!! and it was really great fun and nice sim.
Welcome Frostmourne :)
No, at least not yet.Quote:

Actually, It's the most solid rally game since the WRC PS2 series and CMR series up to CMR5. Special stages are very technical and quite difficult, cars physics are more sim that the previous titles, graphics and sounds have been Improved too. Judging from your post, I assume you are a rally fan/gamer, so go for It. ;)Quote:

Very good with some tricky stages and the physics are great. I recommend getting it, that's for sure. As for Dirt4, I don't believe that because Dirt has moved away from the rallying theme too much now to care about the physics that much. Certainly I didn't enjoy Dirt3 because of the lack of rally content, something that WRC3 does have.
