OK.
Clue 1 - Same melody for all three but not the same lyrics.
Clue 2 - One large country, one small country, and one small one that some would say isn't a country (but I can't think what else to call it).

Maybe the UK, and I-don't-know, and Gibraltar?
Correction: maybe the UK, Malta, and Gibraltar?
Portugual, The Azores and...?
I'm stumped :s
Gibraltar, Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man etc aren't countries, surely
Denmark, Faroes, ... ?
I'm stumped too :dozey:
That's the large one and the small one that maybe isn't a country - it's a British Overseas Territory nowadays, not a colony any more.Quote:

As far as I know it has no motor sport reputation (ie no races or rallies) and I think it has produced one grand prix driver.
So is it in Eruope or not? :cornfused:Quote:

Ah, I just realised I mis-read D-Type's post :dozey: . The last country we're looking for is not necessarily a British overseas territory. D-Type was referring to Gibralter. Apologies if my post caused confusion.Quote:

I don't know what further hint I can give.
England did play this country in a European Championship qualifier a few years ago which is how I learned about the same anthems. I think that at both matches they did the pragmatic thing and played the anthem once without accompanying vocals.
Edit: I've just read the rules in post 1. I think this is a classic case for allowing people to Google so we can kill it off. Google away
Small European Country?
As a Canadian they're ALL SMALL! hehe
As for the tiniest ones, I'd go with the most northerly, Lichtenstein?
Andorra?
Vatican? :arrows:
What was the question again? :andrea: :pQuote:

Still stumped :dozey:
Google says you win :up:Quote:

I must admit that I was in two minds about including Gibraltar: but it isn't part of Spain and isn't part of the UK and it does have its own stamps ...
That WAS a good question.
Now, the following countries share a common, patriotic trait. What is it?
Mexico
Egypt
Serbia
Kiribati
Uganda
Montenegro
Fiji
Zambia
Ecuador
Guatemala
Moldova
Zimbabwe
Albania
Dominica
Papua New Guinea
Kazakhstan
They all have a symbol on their flag?
Specificity, please.
All have birds on their flags?
Eagles?
Moldova is my speciality. They're famous only for their very beautiful women ( kinda girls who use to break a decent family ) and great wines.
If the issue is their flag they have an aquila ( or eagle ) secured by a shield with a head of "bour" ( a sort of wild bull ) placed between a sun and a half moon. The aquila has a cross in its pecker and a sceptre and an olive branch in its claws.
Don't know which element to pick....
The flag of Fiji has a dove, not an eagle.
They all have the sun in their flag
The sun is also on the flags of Argentina and Uruguay and they're not on the list...
You are right I have things mixed up. I thought of the flag of Kazachstan, blue with the big sun, but never realised there is actually also a bird on that flag.... I didn't think any further than that :o :)
Uganda's flag has a chicken and Guatemala has a songbird with a long tail so I'd go with birds rather than eagles, but I'm not sure how much Egypt's flag's changed lately. I've seen an stylized eagle on some flags but I didn't know it was official.
I'd say Koz has it, but what's the official word?
Koz has it...it's birds on flags.
Your Question, Koz.
Ok, here's an easy one.
Which country has the oddest flag?
By 'oddest' flag, I will assume that you mean an Odd number of sides.
Whereas most flags are rectangles, thus 'Even', I would suggest that the flag of Nepal, which has 5 sides, is thus 'Odd'.
Yes, that is indeed correct.Quote:

Back in bit with a stumper... :erm:
Perhaps not quite a stumper, but as mkbilly's missus would say, I offer you a quickie:
In which country will you find the airport to which the scary three-digit IATA designation code BOO is assigned?
Botswana?
Not even close :)
