Stagetimes back to normal this morning, exceptions for Mikko (but does he have tires for the next stages) and has anybody noticed that Iceman was faster than Ketomaa!?
I actually think the works MINI's are doing quite well despite it being only their second event. The privateers is an other story ... especially Araújo is turning out to be a big dissapointment in my book. Also a pity for Rantanen as I thought he would score points in that car.Quote:

The race was bad but the food was good.
Driving from Hassi towards south. We were at 3,5 km or so at the much-spoken powerlines section. Brynildssen started crashs, the car stopped some 5 metres away from me. Soon Tahko rolled more downhill, and soon Saliyuk also. Perhaps the co-driver's side hit the pole. After that stage was stopped. Also Lindroos and Al-Qassimi went a bit wide, Tänak jumping bit off line. And Hirvonen - relaxed and on his own league.
Lots of nice historic cars in the traffic here.
Doesn't look good for Jari-Matti and Jari at the moment.
Two works Citroens on it.. JML needs to get some stage wins
Don't know about the food, but from where I am sitting the race is good ;)Quote:

Come on, there are so many variable to pan out including tyre wear and road position - I think JML is doing fine at the moment.Quote:

Now we are just 30km north from Lahti (in our service car coming towards Lahti) and it starts to rain a little bit...
..and Lindroos into a tree on this one.
Tänak and Hänninen continuing with excellent pace
It is early but he can't keep loosing 5 secs a stage. JML going better this stageQuote:

Whats wrong with Kruuda? Time on SS4 and 5 aren't good at all!
Anyone noticed that Sordo outpaced Meeke on 4 of 6 stages so far? It wasn't something I personally expected ... not that Danny is a mediocre driver but there were predictions that he'll be 'destroyed' by Meeke. I guess the experience Sordo has helps a lot, I'm not sure how many times Kris has participated in Rally Finland before.
From end of the first stage today. "Think driveshaft is broken"Quote:

Last time he drove here was five years ago, and he has never driven here with a WRC car, only with FWD S1600s.Quote:

I think the last few rallye's made very clear who is competition for Loeb this year, and that's Ogier not Hirvonen.Quote:

Thanks Miika. Let's hope Joonas will see the finish.
Yesterday Meeke said this year is a high-speed recce for them. On the other hand Sordo have good experience in Finland. Two years ago Sordo was outpacing JML for half of the rally.
Hänninen in the SWRC lead now! 6.2 in front of Tanak
..and just two behind Meeke and ten behind Sordo. 9th overall. :)Quote:
