If you don't get the name of the town and lake (begins with Wan and sounds like Markabilly)... take the next question anyway
Lake Wanaka! A beautiful part of the world! Are you on holidays? Are you visiting Australia?

I fiddled a stopover in Brisbane on the way back to visit an old mate of mine, but it turns out he'll be in Cairns when we finally make it over there, and it's too late to change now
oh well, I'll have to visit his missus instead :bandit:
lucky burro. any new Q?
One for fousto!
I'm an island in the southern Indian Ocean, I'm a nature reserve and one of the world's largest nesting sites for green turtles. I also have many goats introduced by settlers in the late 1800s.
Now there are no permanent human inhabitants although I have a rotating garrison and I'm visited by scientists.
Ruins and graves attest to several attempts at settlement from the 1860s to the 1920s.
My name is taken from that of a British ship, although I'm not Brtitish now and I'm also claimed by another country.
Diego Garcia?
