I think it is shame Toyota doesn´t let Lappi drive at least some regional events to keep him sharp. Skoda did the same mistake that half year before Fabia R5 was released and Lappi was just sitting home. At the end these forced pauses in career may slow down his progress

Ogier also at the same places as Tänak and Breen....Tänak cutting the most of those three drivers.
Ogier style is better, less probality of puncture and it seems faster.
Corsica has been Tänak's achilles heel last two seasons, it will be interesting to see if and how much progress he has made...he was just nowhere in 2015 when Evans got 2nd place and i remember Wilson saying that it was because Evans has this neat and tidy driving style while Tänak is (was) more flamboyant and cuts too much which doesnt suit corsica...but he has changed his style a lot IMO, especially driving with Dmack's last year.

Do we think Evans will hand Tanak his ass on tarmac even despite being on the poor Dmack rubber? Or has Tanak improved enough on the black stuff to have the edge?

Going just by the TDC test videos, Tanak looks pretty rapid. Of course the rally itself is a different matter, but I wouldnt be surprised if Tanak and Evans arent that far apart.Quote:
