In Gavin's defence, I don't think he was. He's been in a team with more experienced team mates both times; 2006 was only his 2nd full season in touring cars. And he did finish only one place behind Tom this year. I really hope he gets out in 2007, he improves each season and I think he could do so well this year. I really thing he deserves to be on the grid as much as anyone else.Quote:

James Pickford took part in the Porsche Carrera Cup in 2006.
In my opinion Pickford was better than Hines and after his performances at the end of the Porsche season it would be interesting to have him back in the BTCC, especially if it was the second Motorbase seat as he has experience in the car.
I'd like to see James continue in the Porsches this year. He entered very late last year but was quick straight out of the box, winning the Saturday race at Silverstone.
I believe he is keen to get back into Touring Cars, but he could do really well in Porsches (see Richard Westbrook).

but just after he picked it up the rule said no btc spec car could win the championship out right (has to be s2000 spec ) so just maybe he has got hold of a bmw to use to ...

I don't hink John George would have gone and bought an S2000 car because he knows he wont be competing for the title anyway, so he might as well use a car which he knows will be competetive enough.
think about it he has jag team also know as j team . even in his shops ( went into one last year ) his staff had j team on there shirts . also we all know he is a motorsport mad . and just maybe he has put some cash up for someone else to drive a car to . also put it into his car collection :dozey:

what spec s-2000 BMW they using?! from other threads and rumour, theres a hell of a lot of E90's being built by Schnitzer for 2007. Is it going to be an E90.. or an older E46?

@ captin 1 VXR, They're saying good luck Jim, which as has been previously mentioned is usually short for James and not John. Also I don't see why he'd buy a car only to sell it off a couple of months later, it's not like George would be challenging for the championship in any case.
