shame that Ott lost the 8 secs yesterday, otherwise the lead could be in double figures, or may be not because he wouldnt have pushed then...who knows
shame about Evans too, really good speed and he would be up there or even leading without the mistake.
Greensmith was a 26 places down the road order and start the stage. If it 2 min gap - there 52min of delay and you allow only 30 min delay into TC. How that was possible?
Meeke Kris - Marshall Sebastian
"I had a big slide and aquaplaned on some mud with the rear so I was a little cautious after that! It's not over yet - there will be a few time differences tonight I hope."
Greensmith was 27 mins late in TC 9.
Slate mountain onboards are up. Suninen is the last driver to have the bales in the unclear position.
Between him and Tidemand someone (marshalls?) moved one of them so that you cant drive on the right side any more => but this also means that Tidemand, Breen and all later cars had a much more open chicane than the front runners
All in a big mess and seemingly totally unecessary as there was a lot of space to make the stage a bit longer.
Is there a single person on this board who expected Kopecký to be lading R5 driver after leg 1, especially with such a super strong entry list?
"The Hay bale case"
Yes me Mirek.
Now onboards from SS7 are up.
Solans nearly 16 seconds faster than Kristensson in SS10!
I don´t like WRClive! they show stupid socialmedia tweets and they missed ss8 and ss10 after suninen.. pissed
My friend Peter on Twitter earlier today speaks for the true rally fans:
Aberhirnant cancelled after only getting to see 8 cars. All due to some idiotic spectators. Now at Penmachno. If you're here too, don't be a dick, listen to the marshalls.
These spectators got a stage stopped at Wales Rally GB today. Please repost! https://t.co/BVCGhgz1jS
AnttiL you were right...Tänak confirmed he had trouble with getting mud away from his windscreen and poor visibilty on the afternoon, said he hopes the designer can make miracles for tomorrow.

Meeke again mentioning the "hay bale" case...saying that there were a lot of complaints about him not following roadbook in Argentina and now the 3 guys here didnt follow it too. Says "One rule for all"
Ogier says it was different than in roadbook and in recce. Saying there was 1 bale in roadbook but 2 in the stage.
Neuville says also it was moved since recce.
Check page 65 of FIA rally guidelines: https://www.wrc.com/fileadmin/upload...019_def_en.pdf
How can penalties be imposed if that chicane didn’t match FIA standarts? Crews can’t be penalized for the organizers wrongdoing, even if it was printed on the roadbook.
Penalty should stand. Especially if members of the field got it correct be different if everyone got it wrong which wasn't the case
"The Right way" is rather subjective if it didn't match the roadbook as claimed by Ogier.
Clearly there were more car tracks in the very left opening cause the national rally drove that before, but we dunno where the bales were for them.
Additionally what we do know is that they were moved by marshalls after Suninen. Therefore Evans, Tidemand and Breen had a much straighter and wider line than all those before, and it also shows in the times as they also beat Tanak and Meeke.
Just make no chicanes and everything's good.
I was in Dyfnant 2 this evening and it was noticeably darker for Breen than Tanak....darkness came quickly.
Was also in Elsi first thing this morning, can’t say I noticed much difference in lightness, was basically full light by time they got to us.
Tanak was clearly pushing in Dyfnant, bit lucky past us as he hit the inside bank on a quick left hander...
