Well, fresher than the rest. In theory he could have first 1-2-3-4, then 1-2-5-6 and finally 3-4-5-6 meaning no tyre is worn for more than two stages.

Good time from Lappi, standing against Evans

Thank you all for your messages. Medical assistance is taking care of Thierry and we will keep you updated as soon as we have more news.
Doesn't sound really good. If it would have been ok, they would be more concrete I guess..
Meeke wide a bit. Btw amazing view!

holy shit!
Wonder if Ogier will be more pissed about his inability to catch Tanak.... or by loosing to Loeb on stage times.
I bet the second.
Seems like a proper challenging rally. Speeds of Suninen, Lappi and Mikkelsen worryingly slow.
Loeb seems to be finding that special touch on i20 a bit.
Really big crash for Thierry. Hope he is ok, that is the most important.
Pelun is the fastest stage of the rally so far with average speed of 98.1 km/h but I have to admit I estimated this rally would have been a lot faster.
#WRC ⚠️ UPDATE @thierryneuville: As part of the procedure following big accidents, Thierry has been checked on the scene by medical services and brought to the hospital in Concepción for further examinations. More updates to come later today. #HMSGOfficial #RallyChile
Latvala still does not have corrected time for SS7, should be 15ish second faster.
This is why fans need to be well back off the road...

Fingers crossed for Neuville. The rally lost a bit of interest: Tanak dominating and Ogier saving the loss, as usual. Now it’s up to the Yaris; hope it’ll hold on, for a change. Nice show from Loeb; it’d be great having him on a podium again.

Last night I was going to post about how all the drivers were saying this rally was difficult, but nobody in WRC had crashed and I couldn't even remember a puncture. I was thinking it would be nice to see a rally decided by driving speed.
Well, that'll teach me...
UPDATE @thierryneuville
After being examined at the hospital in Concepcion we can happily confirm Thierry has no fractures or injuries after his roll this morning on SS8 !
Brilliant news ! :)
Could be sprained ankle.
great news!!!
although from the vid it looks quite bad with the leg
Obviously he had sun in his eyes when entering that crest. Maybe one of the reasons he crashed...
I really like Adamo's attitude.
Now it's up to Tanak and Toyotas that they will not mess it up again and put trophy in Ogier's hand.
championship points after ss 9
Ogier : 118
Neuville : 110
Tanak : 107
When judging the performance of his French driver, the Italian director was very appreciative, reminding how much the motivation of a world champion could bring a real plus to a team.
"I can not really say what I can think of the performance of the drivers, it's not my job. I'm here and I'm looking at the middlemen, and I'm amazed at how he's still preparing the rallies. He saw that young people were watching videos a lot and he's starting to do the same. I admire a guy nine times world champion, who won everything and seeks to further improve his preparation for a rally.
When I see something like that, I say P ... .Chapeau simply. I summarize it to one thing: motivation. When your team sees a guy like that, it brings motivation to the whole team. Everyone sees how hard he works and gets on the video. He has won nine times, but we never, so it shows us that we have to work even harder too. "

So Mikkelsen's resurrection lasted only two weeks? Huge contrast between the brilliant performance in Argentina and this.
