The schoolboy who started here
Almost 15m reading all yours posts. Best way to get to know everyting on Paddon/Kennard amazing win. The final stage charge it’s really an epic achievement. Congrats to Lundefaret: you have to be proud on helping a future WRC champ getting there!
Also amazed with the i20 reliability. They’ve managed to improve a lot and after winning in the most though WRC rally, the car is now ready to win in any (gravel) event. It’s great to see that this season won’t be a walk in the park for VW’s guys and, hopefully, in Portugal Meeke will also be in the fight.

Hayden: "What?"
Finally!!!
I've been following WRC for 39 years, Rally NZ '77 was my first, and at long last a WRC victory by a Kiwi driver.
That last stage was amazing.
Well done Hayden & John.
Watched them at Rally Otago a few weeks ago in the i30 AP4 and just knew something special was about to come soon.
Yay!!!!!!!!
Well done to Paddon and Kennard. Great effort by Hyundai with the ability to give Hayden a winning car.
There will be some serious talent coming out of NZ in the next few years with Paddons efforts in the WRC giving the sport even more momentum.
There seems to be more younger competitors in NZ than I have seen elsewhere in the world, maybe it's the chance to buy cheap gray imports 4wd's such as GC8 Subaru's and EVO 6's and chuck a cage in it and go rallying. Also having the best roads in the rally world helps as well.

might be an early call. I think Hyundai now have a serious contender of a car, with only the individual brilliance of Ogier the difference.
Thats awesome!!
Funny enough I facebook messaged Hayden (and he replied) about your thread in April 15, 2014 hoping he would get in touch, So stoked for you and Hayden and as a massive fan of Paddon since he start in the NZRC I appreciate your work immensely Lundefaret

Quite big impact from slow speed. By the way, there should be over 20 cm of snow and -10 degrees tonight! Proper winter conditions, I would like to see some pictures from that!

Lundefaret is becoming famous.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who was shocked when I saw Latvala's crash.
May be You should ask Latvala?!?
I didn't notice this before but cool that you can watch the split in real time when comparing two drivers on WRC+
Paddon gains quite a bit on the fast combinations from what i can see.
You clearly haven't met the local forum retard/bully. He didn't seriously ask of you are OK unfortunately. He was 100 percent sarcastic (in the sense that Latvala crashing is the norm for him... Which I can kinda agree with even though I have a soft spot for Latvala).
We like NOT sometimes... Occasionally... Every now and then, but in between there he is annoying as F.
Might as well get used to it because it isn't the last bit of sarcasm you'll see from him.

The final stage as seen from the front bumper
They're putting cameras in every inch of the cars, every possible place except the right one. It's unbelievable. Unbelievable.
I don't mind bumper cameras... But between the driver and the co-driver is definitely the best.
I wonder if it is safety implications that hinders them... Like if the car crash the camera won't hit either occupant in the car...
What kind of safety implications could be?! Camera could hit them only in the helmets. Then what about go-pro infront of them? It could hit them right in the face...
Have you not see the types of camera's they use in WRCars????? They will not dismount and hit someone/driver/co-driver in the face or hit their helmet....
