I agree too much carnages/crashes in RallyX. Sometimes it's more demolition derby then actual racing. I think WRX would benefit from a slightly stricter regulations to
reduce carnages and improve racing. More clean passes then just putting your opponents in the fence or driving onto to them to try to make them spin/crash out.
Well danger is perhaps a little exaggerated but I agree with N.O.T that tracks designs where the joker lap ends with a long straight
is not a good idea. Petter could just floor it and then drive straight into Kristoffersson. That is not a good track design.
The one number up Ford, the Focus looks to be a very stable car. Lets see when they have a bit more data to fine-tune with. In the 3 some sandwich Bakkerud came out on top, and the smaller cars went to each side....
Excellent start to the season by Solberg. He has clearly made good updates to the DS3 and adapted his driving style to suit ... pity this means less sideways though !
Not a bad start by Loeb, but I wonder if he can be aggressive enough for this kind of racing...
The HB lever & gearlever layout on the Focus are quite unique.

Bakkerud was going very well, quite fast and suprisingly confident, considering they haven't had that much time to familiarize themselves with the car. Block on the other hand was struggling with it a bit it seems.
In any case, I believe Bakkerud will be able to get some nice results with it, as the car seems more than fine.
Duval enters to WorldRX Mettet with OMSE Fiesta RX http://goo.gl/0mvSC9
Joker laps were invented to give more spectacular moments. Incidents in those get in/out spots are common on almost every WRX tracks. It’s not a Montalegre singularity and it’s a bit harsh call them dangerous (“contacts” are a part of the WRX spirit and they can happen all over the track).
Btw, congrats to Montalegre Council and CAVR, the organizer club. It’s great to see a small town getting known around the world thanks to their people motorsport enthusiasm.

Guy Wilks confirmed for Lydden Hill in Fiesta ST by Olsbergs ! :)

Yeah he definitely did well and will be good to see him in quality machinery as the JRM Mini doesn't quite have the legs on the bigger stuff. Andrew Jordan also put a quality drive in at Lydden 2014 and will be interesting to see if Red Bull line him up a drive again this year, although I'm less of a fan of his since he pulled out of the way of Shedden at the BTCC finale last season.
About Adreas Eriksson: http://www.svt.se/sport/motorsport/i...darens-garage/ not sure if this available outside Sweden.
I noticed yesterday that on my TV programme guide it has the live WRX coverage on Sunday morning from 9am to 11am...
Is this right and if so why so early.. is the DTM run later the same day ?
Yes DTM will have Free practice 3, autograph session, race 2 qualification and race 2 on Sunday.
You can see the full schedule here: http://www.dtm.com/en/event/2016-sea...ner-hockenheim
The WRX races on Sunday will be 11.10-11.30 (Gerrman time) for the semi finals and 11.40-11.50 for the supercar final.
Thanks guys... No lie-in for me this Sunday morning then ! ;)

I don't know If any channel broadcast DTM in the UK, if not DTM might be watchable live on their youtube channel.
It's a shame really, about 15 years ago it was a really exciting series...or at least the races could be interesting as stand alone events.
Don't think so, they have an extra gravel section

I guess tomorrow should be some semi-live footage again somewhere, right? Anyone have any stream that isn't regionally blocked?
Try livetv.sx/en it's IP blocked in the UK but the Hola extension to Chrome works on it. Failing that you might be able to watch it online on http://www.questtv.co.uk/live/ but you would need Hola or similar to switch your IP to a UK one.
Last season every race was shown on the official stream on Livestream, I guess one of the downsides of getting TV deals is that we lose out on that aspect. Shame as it gave me more flexibility for watching it
Thanks, I will try those...
WoWoWoWoW that was a crazy second semi final! Awesome racing!!!
spectacular indeed. Larson finished with rolled car:eek:
Yes, second semi was great. Final not that interesting.
So the races were on saturday not sunday ?
No, this morning from 11-12 were the Semi's and Final.
