Indeed- i agree with Nornbugger on both his points there. Hats off to you bluuford, teams should read you're forecasts on here before making tyre choices :)
look at the stage conditions

^^ Wonderful photos.
watch how different is the road from Ogier to Bouffier.

Hmm many are going out with snow tyres... maybe these are better with heavy rain as well? because it is raining quite heavily in the region right now and likely during all remaining stages. But with studs? Probably some corners in higher elevation have turned into ice.. but ice tyres.. really :-) Overreacting?;-)
tried them but didn t worked properly.Quote:

Obviously, it was very difficult this morning. Whilst on the link, it was just wet, in the first corner of SS1 I hit a wall on the left side. can count themselves lucky to still be there after this error. Perty In the descent, I was maybe 20 km / h and I hit a guardrail to help me turn .
A assistance, I hesitated to make snow, it is also my mistake. "
I agree also 100% wat "N.O.T" say. :-) .... :D
Quote:

Also how the heck can Bluford tell us yesterday what the teams couldnt figure this morning, respect to you sir, and I think you are overly modest about your meteorological knowledge, in my time on this forum you have made many accurate weather predictions and I cant remember you making any real blunders yet?
+110%
There's the usual miserable old gits ( :) ) moaning and whining. Yes it's a lottery with tyres and weather but cars still have to be driven. Hat off to all the drivers.
And +110% to BF, proper weather forecaster.
Bryan Bouffier (Ford Fiesta - M Sport, leader in mid-day): "We had two snow tires embedded in the trunk. I had a lot of information ... Still, I was surprised to see snow on the first stage. Slick tires, it was super easy to get out of the road but it was quite regular. For the 3rd special was mounted two snow tires. But do not burn, and it must stay focused. It was only fifty kilometers of special and there is still a big chunk. In the afternoon, the choice will still be tricky. There was rain, but the snow is not very far anyway. It will probably rain-snow mix. I hope to stay in this position until at least tonight and beyond. "

Have You followed Jänner? Kubica won last stage by a huge margin without any snow when he was on snow tyres with two studded. There was a lot of water and mud. With no proper rain tyres the slicks are not that good in wet...Quote:

Choice of tires for the second loop: Ford, Sordo, Latvala and Mikkelsen (4 + 2 snow nails), Ogier (2 soft, 2 Snow and 2 nails), Citroën (4 + 2 soft snow).

I am stunned that these teams aren't scrambling to track down and hire bluuford, for many rallies now I have never seen him significantly wrong and we've all seen every team (but mostly ford, let's be honest) make bigger wrong calls.
Ridiculous first few stages, just how Monte Carlo should be. It'd be hilarious if Chardonnet stayed in the top 10 to the end just through making correct tyre choices for 3 days!
Of course the driving and the car are still important but on certain rallies a "bluuford" on your team can make more difference than that. Look at the minutes that some fast guys have lost... Latvala, etc.
Sad to see Neuville off and I hope it doesn't indicate anything about his future rallies, but Hyundai still have a car in podium position - Sordo is a really underappreciated driver and he's doing exactly what Hyundai must have wanted. If I had just hired a young Neuville as no. 1, I would want Sordo or Hirvonen to get manufacturer points when things like this happen. Still, so early who knows if the whole top 12 drivers reverse places by the end.
This is a rally I'd really like to see live pictures for just to see the contrast between the guys sliding around on wrong tyres and the guys making huge gains on them - does anyone know if any TV stream will exist for powerstage or anything?
In Edinburgh maybe an exchange could be arranged?

If that's your point of view, that's fine, but those conditions don't really show the real driving skills related to rally racing.
Question: Is Kubica faster then all the rest, or he just did the best job this morning?
Im sure that could definitely be arranged. Or if Scotland gets it act together and gets itself on the ERC calendar in 2015(which could happen) - we could exchange there if there was enough Nordic drivers in the entry list for you too come over and support :DQuote:

Yeap, 12 seconds loss after 2 split to Latvala time wich is driving on 4 snows i think.Quote:

its a choice for a lot of km covered with snow something we dont have such an information.Quote:
