Now I'm not sure it's my question, but I'm just gonna be an arse and ask one. I hope you don't mind. :)
Seven sovereign states have made eight territorial claims to land in Antarctica south of the 60° S parallel. Name those seven countries, please. And, which country has made the largest claim?
Argentina, New Zealand, US, Chile?
3/4 correct, Storm.
France, UK, Norway, Argentina, Russia, US, Australia, New Zealand, Ican'tcountland ?
6 correct. But which might be the largest claim?Quote:

The gray area is unclaimed.
Your Q, Donks.
Can I pass on this one? :)
Sure. :cool:Quote:

I think the grey area used to be the US Dependency until they withdrew their claim - I'm not sure why
I'll try and think up a question. If anybody else has one, please feel free to post it.
OK, here we go.
First one for donKey jote only - where is there a restaurant that the locals call "Don Quick Shot"?
And for everyone: In what three European countries would you hear the same national anthem played?
pass! :p
Close enough. It was in Cairo - There was a restaurant called Don Qixote, I think serving Spanish food. When we pronounced the name correctly our Egyptian cplleagues hadn't a clue what we were talking about. :)
Easy. Scotland, Ireland, Wales.Quote:

And I doubt it's Scotland, England, Wales either... if the Rugby matches are anything to go by, they all have their own national anthems :andrea:
Estonia, Finland, Latvia??
Was just about to post much the same, but I was going to say Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania.Quote:

In this context, these three plus Northern Ireland are one country - the United KingdomQuote:

what was the question again? :bandit: :andrea:
I'm intrigued to find out the answer to this excellent question.
If it's not in the Balkans, could it be among the very small nations of Europe? Let's say Italy, San Marino, and the Vatican.
Greece, Cyprus and Macedonia?
Or is God Save The Queen still used in some former colonies?
I'll compose the following guess:
Ukraine
Belarus
Moldova
No, although Cyprus and Greece are the same (tune and words), Macedonia is different.Quote:

Again, not that I know of. I would expect them to have their own anthems.Quote:

Here sung by "the first lady of soul"

It seems noone has a clue, so perhaps you'd give us one, D-Type?
