Most likely a minute mistake... Nothing special in the end.Quote:

Do I see right that not a single academy Fiesta made it to finish of leg 1???
WRC times still wrong ... correct times here :)

Look at the rock Loeb came through  I am trying to figure out how could it only clip the under-bumper but not break steering arm or driveshaft, because Fords had massive damages from way smaller pebbles

only Nasser and Novikov jumped without touching the brakes before the take off.Novikov took off from a totally different angle( right side of the road) and landed just straight, but Nasser after the landing went about 20 meters sideways at good angle.Quote:

...a great sporting moment !!!
it was very dangerous and that is why only 5 people were there...the car was very close at flipping over... at first around 20 of us tried to help but then realized that it wasn't safe.Quote:

p.s. for me its funnier than it looks because recently in a local rally, a turk driver went slightly off in a tight hairpin and people started to push him further (to not block next cars). when he realised that he burnt the clutch but managed to escape on his own :D
Is there any picture that we can se who's N.O.T? :D
so today we didnt managed to see 6 stages, but we watch 5 stages out of 8.We were watching only 16-17 cars.
Rush only from Elikonas1 to Bauxites1 as it was tight.Between Bauxites1 and 2 we spent 2 hours at tavern with some 3 kg of meat potatoes, salads sausages and beers :D
Loeb=mister perfect.really struggling to find even a small ''mistake'' at his lines/brakes/whatever.At Elikonas1 we were watching a fast straight downhill with 6 gear with brakes for a right to left sequent corners and was the only driver that he braked hard with straight steering. All the other drivers they used to slide on brakes left-right before entering the first right corner.
Latvala=Nice driving without errors at least where i was watching, but with wider lines from Loeb
Hirvonen=His style is little bit like Loebs, not as i remembered him at previous Acropolis. Not exactly as Loebs style, but definetely not so wide like Petters or Jaris.
Petter=asking for trouble at every stage i saw.I am impressed he didn t have a ''stone in his road' today with such driving. At Bauxites 2 he clipped a 50cm tall gravel cut while his lines were totally wrong, about 1,5 meter away from Sebs,Jaris,Mikkos lines.
Nasser=most spectacular today by far!! At Thiva2 (video helicopter from wrc.com some posts ago) crazy passage with very wide lines, jumping from side to side.
Novikov= very good,no mistakes,bit wide lines,fast,late brakes.A passage i was waiting to see.
Tanak=some times good, sometimes not so good.
Ostberg=as above at least where i watched him.At Thiva2 he was outside the road about 500 meters before we were watching. We could listen his engine trying to get back on the road for some minutes.
Ogier Mikkelsen very fast, but i have to admit that at most points Ogier was faster in my eye.Mikkelsen was very spectacular at Thiva2
Nice day with plenty of action, good 2 hours miday rest in a very good tavern, and good spectacular points, except Bauxites1 which was a so and so point.
Tomorow i ve planed just 3 stages.Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!! :dozey:

RALLY ACROPOLIS 2012 DAY 1 HIGHLIGHTS - YouTube
Weather for tomorrow.
I have looked all kind of weather data for this part of the world for last couple of hours and it seems that tomorrow might come really terrible day. If everything goes as it looks now, then tomorrow should look like this:
SS10-SS11 dry
SS12 little light rain expected
SS13 moderate rainshowers expected. Maybe hard tires for the first stages are good and couple of softs for the lastone.
Ss14 Very high possibility of very, very, very heavy rainshowers, almost like in Portugal
ss15 Still some rainshowers is in the meny
SS16 heavy rainshowers, very high possibility
SS17 Showers should have been finished but the roads are still very wet
Currently looks like a secion for soft tires
Temperature tomorrow will be between +16..+21 in the stages.
Sunday morning looks to be clear and rainshowers for the last 3 stages.
So, ideal tyre choice looks like this:
saturday morning 2 softs 4 hard
Saturday afternoon 4 softs
Sunday morning two hards
Sunday afternoon 4 softs.
I think that 10 softs were allowed?
But you newer know. Rainshower may hit the stages very heavly, at the same time they can miss the stages by a few meters:-)

I want to figure out who maintained more speed through it at all, the short (and maybe slower) cut or the fast wide? Im asking cause I dont have experience in watching gravel rally live and cameras can never fully represent it.Quote:
