So will the Peugeot strategy work out better, more testing inhouse before homologation vs MSport testing with the customers?
Also the first Fiesta R5 has been delivered to Italy!

I think that Wilson has made a good deal. So many people want R5 cars today and the only option at the moment is Fiesta.. and for a long period. That means, he can fill the market with huge number of cars, get a lot of feedback and later rebuild some engines etc. Peugeot importers are of course buying and supporting Peugeots but those who are not supported by local dealers are already ordering Fiestas..
I hope that R5 becomes really very popular and there is room for all the car makes.Kruuda and Kangur were mostly very spectacular in Rally Estonia with these new cars. So, I would be happy if I can see more of those on the stages.
Remember how many Fiat Punto S2000's were sold? From 2009 on they disappeared very quickly. Could be the same case for the Fiesta R5. First on the market, also means that all others can "spy" on your product and make theirs better. Skoda was one of the last with a S2000 cars, but commercially they had the best project I think (most return for the manufacturers, and a lot of cars sold).
If Fiesta R5 will disappear after 2015 it isnīt Malcolm Wilsonīs problem. He is businessman and he will be successfull also with this strategy.
It doesn't look like that but Abarth made almost same number of Puntos as Škoda made Fabias I think. Peugeot sold the biggest number of S2000 cars and has stayed the longest time on the market. But it's not only about sales but also about services and spare parts and that is where the "service life" matters the most.Quote:

it was an extremely useful site to keep track of the cars.
it would be spledid and a help for many if someone could build on this on, or make a new one for R5.
The problem is that after some time it becomes very hard to keep up with it. There are so many cars after some time, who participate in big and small events. Cars are bought, cars are rented. Owners change license plates, teams have more cars and often switch plates etc, teams start to cover the chassis numbers with tape to prevent people from knowing exact history (actually happened) and so on...
Helloooo :)

Overlooked it indeed. :) I thought Serderidis' car was going to be chassis number 3, apparently not.
In a few days Krum Donchev will take his first official ride of the new R5 in Rally Tvardica. Enjoy the presentation of the new car.

This might very well be the first fictory for R5. Here is the entry list for Tvarditsa-Elena 2013 - ?????? ?? ????????? ????????? ?? 9-?? ???? ????????-????? 2013
EDIT: The only stage with bad asphalt is being asphalted this week (the machines stay in front of my house :D ), so shouldn't be big problem for the suspension - pure asphalt rally ;)

One thing you have to remember with R5 is the fact that the FIA has capped the sale price, and any good business will try to make maximum profit off each sale, therefore it becomes a massive case of build cost vs reliability. The fact the Fiesta R5 is so big already means that a bigger bulk of parts can be ordered from the suppliers and thus cost less, in return this will mean that better grade parts can be bought....its a big vicious circle!
Someone have more info about chassis numbers, we only have these: eWRC-results.com - Rally cars history
I know that there are 14 already with customers
We only know chassis 3, 4 and 5.
When is the mext test-session for the 208?
Unfortunately I cant help there.Quote:

Barum I guess.Quote:

I bet Barum 2014 will be a zero car appearance.
Number 8 chassis - Donchev, PX13AUC
Thanks
Guessing contest: What will the gap pr km SS end up with in Finland btw the best WRCs and the best R5s?
This shall be the first public video shot of Fabia R5 mule (from today). Unfortunately it's facebook only visible so I had no chance to watch it. My friend told me it's just one but very spectacular pass with very nice engine sound as well.https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...type=2&theater
