Excellent news, and I'm not surprised, the unreliable tires destroyed his PWRC efforts last year.Quote:

Here is the new Fiesta, and probably a good platform to build a new S2000 Ford weapon:

Alexandro Camacho will run in 2008 with a brand new 207 S2000 built in Peugeot Portugal.
To Tom: Radik will not drive to Vanajalinna because of lack of a snow.
But with new co-driver Shaymiev will go full program in Finnish Rally Chfmpionship and Neste Rally Finland.
Thanks for the news Andrey ;)

I've read in the WRC section of the forum polish driver Michal Kosziusko would run national championship this year in the Grande Punto S2000(he did run with it at the end of last year in Austria, and finished a great 2nd overall after Stohl was disqualified)
Kosciuszko drove the car in Walles too. Nothing confirmed yet I think. It was car from JM engineering and there are many drivers rumoured or sure to drive those two cars.
I'm not sure about that Paulo, finally Vitor will have a decent oposition in Madeira championship. As you know the Peugeot of Camacho will be built by Peugeot Portugal, which means quality...so my bet goes to Alexandre Camacho! :pQuote:

I can write the news in that thread too :p :
Patrik Sandell and Emil Axxelson will be the first crew to enter full PWRC season with an S2000(207 from Peugeot-Sport Sweden) ;)

I'm interested in how the car works with new WRC Pireli tyres...
Luis Monzon back in spanish championship in a 207 S2000 ????
http://www.autoklub.pl/18484,news.html
The news of Luis Monzon is not confirmed.
He is trying to find sponsors.
According to http://autosport.clix.pt Miguel Campos should know by the end of this month if he runs 2008 portughese rallies championship in an S2000... ;)
Grzegorz Grzyb in slovakian rallies championship with the JM Engineering Grande Punto S2000 ???
http://www.autoklub.pl/18512,hotnews.html
i think is normal, Grzyb last year he drive Swift from JM Engineering and this year he wants to drive S 2000 ( maybe also in Poland ? )... i hope so, he could be a good guess for Polish champion 2008... :)
That' s great news :) :) , he also has Barum and Pražsky Rallysprint in plan, but he probably won't start at Magurski.
A team for next year... :) :)

Btw, what about the FWD teams for next year?
Is Honda contesting again, Citroen, Renault?
We have new rulles for 2008. Minimum weight was changed in the way of actual numbers. As far as I know the cars weight a bit more than new limit and the old limit was unrealistic. Actualy limit is now 50 kg plus in all condition.
The minimum weight is 1200 kg with 6.5'' x 15'' or 7'' x
15'' wheels and 1150 kg with 18'' or 16'' wheels under the
conditions of Article 4.1 (and with only one spare wheel).
The combined minimum weight of the car (under the conditions of
Article 4.1 and with only one spare wheel) and crew (driver + codriver)
is 1350 kg with 6.5" x 15" or 7'' x 15'' wheels and 1300 kg
with 18" or 16'' wheels.
That could be good news for at least Toyota. In my knowledge Toyota had the biggest problems with the old weight limit.Quote:

Why have they done this? Bad news IMO as it will make the cars less agile.
It won't really help anyone as the teams will still spend money on weight saving - then any spare they can put in as ballast in all the right places.
RS: As I wrote before, that change will have no effect on cars because they all are even heavier than new limit. They just realized that old limit was unrealistic in terms of S2000 rulles.
Can someone translate the main idea of this text about the new Skoda Fabia S2000 ???
http://www.autosport.cz/clanek.php?cl=5862
Nothing important. Fabia S2000 is still in development, everything is going via planned time schedule and they aren't able to tell more now...Quote:
