I think that this again proves the inherent design flaws in not covering the wheels. Sticky rubber hits sticky rubber; which throws cars into the air and we get a red flag. That's just dumb.

Red Bull sure got lucky with the free tyres :dozey:

Not only with the tyres, I think. Pitting them right before the safety car came out was the right decision, but you need to keep in mind that was allowed them to get in front of Hamilton was the fact that they reached the safety car and were told to go, which (as far as I know) meant that they didn't have to be racing to a delta time any more and they could push as much as they wanted. Meanwhile, Lewis had to drive to the delta time and so he was unable to defend himself.

So will Perez take Kimi out?

As it looks now, the 'right' guy might be winning - would love to see Nico winning again - but the race itself was quite a damp squib so far with all the delta-time dawdling.
