Good news, I had been told before by TD staff so I knew it would happen.
We're not in the play ground any more.
Good news, but I think TD have a huge task on their hands. Ithink they'll be saying they we under prepared for this season. We don't know how long these plans have been in place but it does feel as though they went sailing passed a comfortable pre-season planning deadline. Best of luck to them!
Okay...calm down, cool your jets man, how was i supposed to know with 33 pages of this topic?Quote:

You could probably of said that with the Integra but in this case it feels to me as if it is a bigger task. Wonder if they will get any assistance from Honda.Quote:

Sure I read TD will be getting some assistance from Honda.
I think they are supplying the trailers and some of the equipment. e.g. Airguns etc.Quote:

so assistance "in kind", I guess that support does cost the team money if they had to buy or rent those things? Better than nothing I guess? I think Honda is benefiting more than TD then?Quote:

I take this to mean that the cars will be featured in Honda marketing campaigns and therefore the value to sponsors will increase.
has anyone got a link to a copy of the honda press release?
we've now filled both seats at:
SEAT
VX
Halfords
WSR
and one at
Motorbase.
so, tips for the second Seat seat at Motorbase? i would imagine Ferrier has to be a front runner given his performance last year, but must be struggling for cash if he hasn't been confirmed. Adam Jones has been linked with everything with an engine, where do you think he'll find a home, Motorbase looks a good option?
What now for Rob Collard, do you see him back in the MG's as Collard Racing, or maybe with Kartworld alongsode Jason Hughes?
Or has Hughes definately now got S2000 cars, and what are they?
Any more news on the GR asia rumour?
Any more news on the Pinkney/Marsh/Alfa team?
is Paul O'Neill any closer to getting a seat in one of the Astra's alongside Erkut at Techspeed, if indeed, erkut has a seat there already?
any news on the drivers at Enke, BTC, Xero
and finally....Clyde Valley?
Honda haven't issued a press release or any official statement. People as usual are taking bits from the specialist magazines and imagining what the deal might be.Quote:

I hope the above comment is not directed at me as I can prove that the PM that I sent you in response to your abrupt PM was very civilised and polite.

If drivers are still waiting to be confirmed, it is almost definitely down to the lack of money.Quote:

Just thinking about it, perhaps Rob Collard/Emmet O'Brien/Ryan Sharp could be in the frame for the second GR Asia Toledo - they have all raced for GR Asia in the ETCC.
Plus the guy who is running it, was Rob's team manager at Collard Racing!
Now it all seems to be falling in place... :D
- and if my memory is correct Collard drove for Gr Asia ( in a toledo ) in the European Touring Car Cup in 2005
I wouldnt have thought it would be Collard, im sure he'll be back in a MG going for the win of the BTC spec cars.
I thought the MGs were destined for a purchaser in Asia.
It'd be good if they went to Asia. That'd give our chum Farique something to race against in his Proton. ;)
I emailed WSR about the MG's and they havent been sold yet.
My bet is Rob having at least one of them.
Isn't he already being given a run, ahem race, for his money by Engstler and his BMW? :DQuote:

So, with Tom Onslow Cole now filling the 2nd RAC BMW what now for Gavin Smith???
The 2nd Motorbase perhaps, does he have a big budget?? I imagine it's fairly big as he was with Vauxhall for 2 years.
I think that his familly own some buisnesses that help him out plus he also is sponsored by supaguard ( who also sponsor Prilaux in the WTCC ). From what I heard though Opel Ireland helped fund his seat.
What would be great ( and this is just me fantasizing) is if Gr Asia were to run a Seat Ireland team for Gavin Smith and Emmet O'brian- although this would surely be unlikely with the mondello round out. I wonder if the mondello round not being here will mean we don't see Gavin out at all though...
not offence to gavin but in both season he was outclassed by both of his team mates for succesive years now. Maybe he shouldnt be on the grid
I think Mr Pinkney wiil be glad not to see Mr Smith out again this year after all the trouble he had with him during 2006!
True but I think he improved a lot in 2006, and I think he can again in 2007.Quote:
