Car issues are really the only good excuse. Despite the fact the cars now are harder to adapt to he still should, given his car is working fine, be able to at least closely round up WRC times.

At least we know that Marcus with his 50yrs still fighting spirit. Cuz other drivers after so many "oi-oi-oi"'s pull back and drove to the finish, but Marcus still try to fight at every stage.
Pietarinen continued!

Pietarinen on stage O_o
haha, never give up mentality!
Radstrom have some problem on 2nd split on SS3 and drop to 3rd. Sesks now leading a rally by ~6sec
Going back to my theories. Kristensson driven a lot of rallies. Did swedish first round of 130K stages. FWD car. Easy to adapt.
Only thing that doesn´t fit 100% to theory is Bergkvist. He´s doing fine, though to my knowledge he hasn´t competed for long. And not 100% adapted to these WRC2 cars for a long time, that is.
MORNINGLOOP POSITIVE SURPRISES:
- Sunninen!!! What a start!
- Veiby leading R5-class-cars, great drive, new he was fast but that fast..?)
- Kristoffersson...incredible.
- Lindholm! Didnt expect him to be that quick
- Sesks, Kristensson - ERC-guys kicking ass!
DISAPPOINTMENTS
- Tidemand, despite being first snowrally in WRC17-car, hopefully tech issues is gone with start of second loop
- Katsuta, Gryazin..?
- Meeke...playing it safe this year?
Things goes even tougher in RC4. Sesks lost 20 sec and back to Radstrom.
Huttunen had a Puncture on SS4
Before seeing your post I made this https://twitter.com/AnttiL_WRC/statu...62412343787520
EDIT: Actually I tweeted before you posted, I forgot the forum clock is 30 minutes late :D
Hopefully someone has told Esapekka that those glasses are of no use without a hefty pack of cigarettes.
So now Neuville is second also on glasses trendsetting lol
"I'm satisfied with the morning, it went well for us," the leader of the Hyundai team told Olivier Gaspard, RTBF's special correspondent in Sweden, "We're still fighting for the victory, it could have been much worse being in second position on the road, but we drove well, we did not let go, the Toyota are going very fast again, but we're not far away. afternoon, the conditions may be a little worse for us, but we hope to stay in the fight for the victory. When the second passage in these special, we may end up on the ground often The first cars on the road will have to make the tracks, especially after the passing of the cars of the historic rally which will be passed between our two loops, that complicates the things, but it is the case each year, we know it, we have to do with it! "
Already the fastest on the stages of the Monte Carlo (only one puncture deprived him of the victory), Ott Tanak seems to be again the man to beat in Sweden ... as very often in the second half of the last season. And the many test sessions organized by his team, Toyota, are probably for something.
Each team is entitled to 42 test days during the season as well as "unlimited" testing on a test basis near their factory. The "Finnish-Japanese" team of Tommi Makinen being installed in Puuppola, about ten kilometers from Jyväskylä, high place of the Rally of Finland, it can carry out tests whenever it seems to him on ideal routes for the practice of the rally. , especially to prepare the Swedish and Finnish events. This is not the case for Hyundai Motorsport, whose factory is in Alzenau, Germany, or Citroën Racing, a team based in Satory (Versailles).
"We have already talked enough about it, the regulations allow it, but some teams do not have the possibility to choose their annual base," said Vice World Champion Hyundai Motorsport is based in Germany, and we have many opportunities It takes a small change in the rules to make it a bit more fair, and I think that Toyota has, in all, done fifteen days of testing before that event, and we, three, and their quota of 42 days of annual testing has hardly moved!
