Ok here we go.
Its a population question.
I have split the world into 8 Continents or Regions
Asia, Oceania, Africa, Europe, South America, North America, Central America and Caribbean
So the question is rank these 8 in order of population size. Largest to Smallest population. My answers are 2013 UN estimates.
I guess everyone will get the biggest. It maybe quite easy with a bit of thought.
Where's Antarctica?
Most to least:
1) Asia
2) North America (You are counting Mexico as part of N America, right?)
3) South America
4) Europe
5) Africa
6) Oceania
7) Central America
8) Caribbean
My guess:
1. Asia
2. South America
3. Africa
4. Central America (including Mexico?)
5. Europe
6. North America
7. Caribbean
8. Oceania
(9. Antarctica ;))
Asia
Africa
South America
North America
Central America (again assuming Mexico is in this region)
Europe
Oceania
Caribbean
Asia
Africa
Europe
North America
South America
Central America
Caribbean
Oceania ( Australia included?)
Antarctica - bonus
Mexico is per definition part of North America and Australia is indeed a part of Oceania.
Spot on Gadjo.
We have a winner. Circa guide by UN estimates
Asia - 4,298,723,000 - I haven't counted every person. :p
Africa -1,110,635,000
Europe - 742,452,000
North America - 472,800,000 (Including Mexico)
South America - 406,740,000
Central America - 45,200,000 (Excluding Mexico)
Caribbean - 42,517,000
Oceania - 38,304,000 (Including Australia)
Antarctica - Loads of bloody penguins :look:
Your go Gadjo
The only thing the Mexico confusion would have changed is South America 4th ahead of North America.
Once again sorry about not making it clear. The source I saw put Mexico as North America.
Tanzania
Togo
Turkey
Thailand
Turks and Caicos islands
Trinidad
Turkestan

Turks and Caicos is a BOT and Officially Tibet is still part of China
My list would be
Taiwan (Chinese Taipei)
Tajikistan
Tanzania
Thailand
Timor-Leste (East Timor)
Togo
Tonga
Trinidad and Tobago
Tunisia
Turkey
Turkmenistan
Tuvalu.
if you use the accepted method of listing titles and exclude "The" I wouldn't include "The" Gambia and "The" Bahamas, but if you don't I would
I think Anfield named them all.
On my list was also Tokelau but I'm not sure. He should know better as it's supposed to belong to New Zealand.
It's Anfield's turn.
Grrrrr...... Damn Timor-Leste
I suppose really the criterion of "What is a country?" is whether it is a UN member.
I knew Tibet and Turks and Caicos were not officially independent nations, but put them in just in case.
Same goes for the two countries beginning with THE
Sadly I got them all except Timor Leste, because my mind has it as East Timor. Otherwise I was there.
Sorry about the delay, have been having problems getting on to site, but it all seems good now.
What is the longest river on each continent

There's also a really great book or 2 by a remarkable fellow who wrote a number of amazing books, Eric Newby:
"A Short Walk in the Hindu Kush"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Short...the_Hindu_Kush
and his misadventures dropping into Italy as a British commando and getting captured by the Nazis and escaping and about freezing to death and being saved by a brave Italian farmer---and he ends up marrying the farmers daughter:
Love and War in the Apennines.

OK Name a noble prize winner's novel that has a river's name in it which the area and peoples are a currently hot topic..
Hint: the river was considered the border between 2 continents
I have no idea really but there is supposed to be a river in South America which is supposed to be the border between
Central (belongs to North) America and South America. I definitely don't know who the author is.
As for the river I guess is that there is a river named Rio Grande and that it, is the said border river between North and South America.
I would guess the countries are Russia and Ukraine, which would be the Dnieper river, still wracking my brain to see if I can recall a novel with Dnieper in the title though.
"was" and "continents".. And Tavarich Anfield is close but no cigar...wrong river.
Och det är inte Slussen
Rio Grande is border for 2 countries part if the way but Mexico is in North America.
Besides what's the TITLE of the book with the name of this river in the title.
I bet zako85 knows in a heartbeat..
There is the River Don that flows into the Sea of Azov at the head of the Black Sea through Rostov, is there a novel with this in the title?
