driver ?,car ?,engine ?,year ?,track ?
Driver- Dick Simon
Year- 1976
Car- Volstedt-Drake V8
Track- Milwaukee
Great picture that presents some mystery!!!
That engine looks like an AMC V-8 stock block car looks like a Vollsedt.
Number is a Vollsedt/Simon/Guthrie number
1976 is the year the AMC was introduced and it looks like a 1976 car....
However Jerry Grant drove the AMC car that year (even though it wasn't this one)
So I am goingto say Jerry Grant, Vollsedt, AMC, 1976 - track???? Ontario???
The track is Milwaukee and the car is Vollstedt with unique turbo AMC stockblocker. Correct driver & year are not named yet...
Driver- Roger Rager
Year- 1979
Car- Volstedt-AMC V8
Track- Milwaukee
Year is correct but by my opinion Rager never drove #27 Vollstedt
Try agein.
Just going by the helmet design. Not to many drivers have black helmets.Quote:

Wow, I guess the problems of AOWR today are not so different from the past - that was a pretty motely crew in at the 1979 Milwaukee USAC race... heck there was even a DNQ for a "Curtis-Offy" - brings some of the field filling problems of today into focus....
Correct - its Snider during Rex Mays 150 in june 1979. Your turn.Quote:
