Roman for sure doesn't have any Finnish word in pacenotes. I will ask Pavel what this was. Here I don't rule it out because Jan could take it from Juho.Quote:

It is funny how foreign languages sometimes make it to pacenotes. I guess "sumpuu" is easier to say than the Czech word for narrows?
Like Czech seems to have no single word for rolled and instead use "sel pre strechu"(?) - floor over roof :D
Here they use some french words too, sometimes even english.
"Narrows" in Czech is very simple - "zúží" or someone uses "do úzka".Quote:

But sometimes they use foreign words. Like Valoušek in his very complex pacenotes. He uses Czech words levá/pravá (means left/right) for turns and English words "left/right" for side of the road where to keep himself. It is good because You can't mix it when each is called in different language. Than he also uses tornante and tornantino for different hairpins. These are Italian words which he learned from his former co-driver Pier Scalvini.
But it's off topic :)
Solving this problem didnt take 3 mins as is in videos, marshalls were not working, there was chaos, another car were still coming...Quote:
